Have a question for drivers who converted to AT from MT

during the first few weeks or days do u get unused, where yr hand starts reaching for the gearstick to change gears and engaging clutch as well ?
and when u want to engage the handbrake, u find yrself reaching for the 'handbrake' thinking it still exists?
my dad was reversing out of my gran's place into a main road. then i was wondering why the car wasnt moving and remained like 90degs to the direction of the cars' direction. after a while he drove off and he told us he was having unused to the CVT trans and wanted to shift the 'gears' into 1st gear.

Sometimes coz we quite used to auto liao... So hor... Is ways lik tat de lor... We used to fang bian liao ma... But then my dad really ok leh... He drive auto v long liao... Then suddenly drive manual, no pro lor...
Me ah... Drive auto car - my dad's... Think if u give me a manual car... Heehee... I doubt the car can really move!
But then sooner or later, it will jus come to u as 2nd nature.... I think is only for the time being only la... Don worry...

For me,if i drive manual car, my parking will eb faster than auto,i juz dun dare to step on the accelertor during reversing........
But cars still ok,i drove citregon belingo b4,reverse parking is damn hard,u7 can't see the back at all!!!! how to park sia,must really depend on the side mirrors -
Auto car when goin down slope/car park ramp muz use brake all the way rite ?
Manual car in this case is better as u can shift to 1st/2nd gear & use engine brake ...

Manual car in this case is better as u can shift to 1st/2nd gear & use engine brake ... Can go down faster n smoother and won't wear out the brakes if u often do it -

Mercedes' handbrake exists in the format of a pedal.

the jag XJ series doesn't even have a pedal brake or handbrake but activates its brakes automatically once the car is stationary and engine is turned off. there is a catch near the transmission stick to release the car from its brakes before moving off.

but all these cars, u can't have fun attempting handbrake turns.
