IMPORTANT:- TIPS TO WASH NEW CARS

Never Never ever let ah neh neh or others to wash your car...
soon you will find minute and fine circular scratches on the surface...
new car has a 'plastic-like' protective coating.
when u let ah neh neh or others wash your cars, chances are they r using the same old piece of cloth and same pail of soiled sabun water to clean your car...
SO WHAT TO DO leh?
1) BUY ONLY [WASH AND WAX] shampoo diluted in a pail of water
2) ONLY USE SPONGE (coz sponge got holes to house dirt and soil)
3) WORK / WASH in ONE DIRECTION ONLY (like pushing the dirt and water away in a single direction)
4) POUR or SPRAY clean water to rinse the soapy or bubbled water away from those hidden constrictions / drains...
lastly:- DON'T WASTE WATER!!! i only use 2 pails...one pail diluted with shampoo, one pail for rinsing -
hmmm... 2 pails of water only? i wash my car at those hdb washing area, everytime use about FOUR 20cents coins, which is about 6 pails of water...
not that i want to waste money (or water), but i've heard that if you use those Wash&Wax cleaning agent with lots of soapy and bubble thingy, and if you don't rinse off properly the soap and bubble thingy can corrode those metal parts of your car...
that is why at petrol kiosk car wash, the people always ends the washing with high-pressure jet water to spray, ESPECIALLY spraying the gaps between doors and the main chasis, the boot and the main chasis, etc etc..., just to make sure there's no soap left.
in fact, i only wash my car with those Wash&Wax cleaning agent once per month, as i feel it's way too strong for the paint of the car, and my extra 20cents coins is used when i connect a hose&spray to the tap to achieve that high-pressure effect (though insufficient, hence i use so many coins just to make sure...).
on every other day, i just use 2 pails of water and clean off all debris and dirt without using the cleaning agent...

The Wash&Wax is neither corrosive nor intrusive to the paint work la....u r not really waxing the paintwork in circular motion as if u r polishing the area to a show-room shine...
Wash&Wax is :-
shampoo your car by lifting oil-based stains and dirts from paintwork...
waxing it with a light layer of waxy stuff to make it less sticky to dust and dirt...but just for a few days only.....
it is a very very effective way of protecting your car paintwork for years...
My colleague went for Layer4 or something like that kind of polishing BUT i can still see those fine circular scratches on his car paintwork...
DON'T POLISH YOUR CAR ok.... -

I used 2 wash the car at shell serangoon gardens.....i used 2 work there too and therefore I know their standard and It's Good....$6 for a SUV is ok-ok considering the outcomeOriginally posted by clipfone:How about send your new car to Shell hand wash ? -
