If you are likely to stay in a foreign country for more than three months for purposes other than touring, it is advisable for to apply for the IDP. However, you should first contact the respective embassies or consulate offices of the country of destination to obtain more information on their driving license requirements.
International Driving Permits are issued by the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS). To apply for an IDP, you need to produce a valid and original Singapore driving licence, your NRIC (or passport for foreigners) and 2 recent passport-sized photographs. The processing fee is $20.00 (non-GST chargeable).

Depends on where. Some countries recognise our licence, but can only be used for 6 months at the most (you need to confirm the duration...). If you intend to use it longer than that, or if the country does not recognise our licence, you need to appy for an international permit.Originally posted by ySssss:could i drive overseas with singapore driving license??![]()
