  If you are likely to stay in a foreign country for more than three months for purposes other than touring, it is advisable for to apply for the IDP. However, you should first contact the respective embassies or consulate offices of the country of destination to obtain more information on their driving license requirements.
  
  International Driving Permits are issued by the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS). To apply for an IDP, you need to produce a valid and original Singapore driving licence, your NRIC (or passport for foreigners) and 2 recent passport-sized photographs.   go convert your license at AA ..... Only can drive car in overseas IF they are LHD ... if is a RHD you'll have to take a course .... dunno about now ley

  Depends on where. Some countries recognise our licence, but can only be used for 6 months at the most (you need to confirm the duration...). If you intend to use it longer than that, or if the country does not recognise our licence, you need to appy for an international permit.
  
  Note: it's an international driving PERMIT, not international licence (no such thing as an international licence). In other words, you still need to carry your licence with you in case you're stopped. The permit alone in not enough.

  be careful when driving overseas especially during winter. roads will be very slippery.
  and on the highways, be careful of winds coming from the side of the car. sometimes it can be very strong.

  if i'm not wrong driving a manual on the left, the clutch accelerator and brakes are all the same as driving on the right, i mean u still use your left to clutch in and such, except that now the gear shift is on the right, i don't find it a problem as i'm a user of both hands(i can write with both hands). lol i wonder if that helps?
