Wat is most impt when u drivin manual???

nothing much loh. just make sure seat is adjusted so that u can step on the clutch for long periods without leg cramps.

Dun roll back while in the car park slope! i once kana horn by P-plate at the slope in those underground car park ....so malu....
Think i also scare her when i roll back...

Hmmm ... me drivin manual .. gaz its impt that you find and get accustomed to the biting point of the clutch so that there's very little lag when ur starting off on 1st gear ... good for slopes and helps to improve FC as well

My inst tried to teach me upteem times, but i still cannot do it lor... Balance the pt where by the car will not move forward or backward on a slope... So hard!

Be more conscious about your rpm and speed at each stage of the gear. You must have this mindset that you are the one controlling the gear and the type of speed you want. As many had said, find the biting point of the clutch. When release clutch, dare to press on accelerator, don't "let go oil", otherwise you will get that "jerk" coming from the "engine brake" (I think).Originally posted by ahkico:R u very conscious about the not being jerky??? Then slowly you will find yourself not worry about jerkiness. A bit more work but more rewarding than driving an auto.
But then it takes really more experience to achieve really smooth driving. I'm not there yet . Maybe ask HENG@, I bet he's a solid driver ! -

1) DON'T CARESS THE SMOOTH GEAR SHIFT KNOB WHEN STUCK IN HEAVY JAM!!!!!!!! coz manual car knob see beh smooth and glossy one....kakakaka... -

Clutch control is very important lor...
Slowly release...
Once you get used to the height of the clutch/Biting point...
You will be able to move off smoothly... -
Don't stall.

actually what matters to me is that i move off smoothly and stop smoothly. giving passengers in the car a smooth ride. my main objective is to allow the passengers to have a nice nap all the way to the destination. lol.Originally posted by ahkico:R u very conscious about the not being jerky??? yeah i feel manual is more fun then auto althought when traffic jam auto just need tap brake ^^ For manual u can heard gears changing sound =p and feel the speed

think the most worrying for manual car drivers is the steep slopes at the entrances / exits of carparks - when u need to slow, or even stop on the slope, den creep up, den stop somemore...
