Rustproofing-Is it worth it?

  Hi Bros, just wanna seek views whether it is worth to spend S$280 for rustproofing my new ody. My SE actually told me iot is really not required for modern cars and in local weather conditions. This is because the manufacturing technique and the use of galvanised steel is not prone to rust. The local weather is also not corrosive as well. Furthermore, one is unlikely to drive a car for more than 4-5 years. Any other views?

  no need to rust proof if u are not gonna keep it for that long. unless u intend to drive it pass the 15 yr mark then i think you should rust proof.

  Rustproof don't really do anything for modern cars. Cars in Michigan see snow and salt about 4mths out of a year and most, including mine, don't have it.
