Can be troublefree and cost effective if you know how to check the car before buying it or having someone with you who knows how to do it... Then also have the seller send it for Viacom or AAS inspection before committing.I doubt that second hand cars are trouble-free. They might appear value-for-money for the first month but after that all the problems would start to appear.
Still I did have to go through piles of lemons to source these gems out... That's all I'm saying. That is one eerie, nightmare.
hahaha ... save now lor ... i am sure JY will reserve for you ah ...Originally posted by LH83:I don't own a car... cos supporting it is going to kill me... but I don't mind a 2nd car if I had the money... but I'm actually eyeing JY's car.. hee... that's a hard car to source for... then again, I won't be able to get one anytime soon.. so for now, I'm just dreaming... hee..
hey dude ... how much u paid for the Del Sol? is it powerful?Originally posted by Bloop...:Not really... I have driven 3 secondhand cars in the past 8 years... Check the oils and battery water and had them serviced every 6 months like clockwork and had no issue with any of the 3.
Just so you know, 1st was an RX7 2nd was a DOHC Civic and now a Del Sol. All 3 are relatively high performance and really pushed to the extreme by their owners.

Del Sol is also known as the Facelifted CRX right?![]()
err ... did you happened to buy it from an Indian owner named .. "Bal" or something like that?Originally posted by Bloop...:Late '92 model, but COE was renewed early (yup.. 08/11). Also blackPrevious owner painted it from it's original Honda Pearl White.
I've got an RSM on mine. Planning to get a Unichip installed this coming Sat thoughLet's see if it can really give me the 8% - 15% power increase.
Also.. No, Del Sol is not a face lifted CRX. It is actually a cross between a Civic and a CRX. Was first released as a Civic CRX, then given its own series designation as the Del Sol. Quite a few internal changes on top of the total body change from the CRX.
