Honda Jazz vs Mitsubishi Colt

Hihi!
I'm a newbie driver and i'm thinking of either getting a honda jazz or mitsubishi colt. But i cant decide! hehehe..
Can anyone give me some advice pls??

i dont know much about both cars but i can offer u my shallow knowledge.
jazz has better fuel comsumption(fc) but i guess it feels a little underpowered compared for the idsi version.
i comes in vtec version and i guess that would be good. the jazz is a real looker.
colt on the other hand has a lousier fc. mayb due to the mivec 1.5L engine. this car actually has tons of storage space. the easy to move and arrange back seats would put the jazz seats to shame.
the thing i dun really like is the auto gear stick of the colt. its modelled after the MPV style and not the normal saloon car.
i guess the tons of auto features of this car would be a decision factor that will sawy a conti buyer to this jap car. auto: headlamps,wipers, door locks,aircon etc.... -

From a friend who drives the Mitsubishi Colt (not too sure if it's Sport or Elegance model):
1) FC is about 13.5km/l.
2) Steering is good and smooth.
3) Spaciousness is a bonus.
I visited the roadshow at Compassvale on Saturday and after taking a seat inside the Colt, I like pretty much the feeling of being inside one, even though I find myself fumbling with the gear control. I believe that could be overcome with time.
The only thing I am not too sure is the Insurance, of which the brochure mentioned above being incorporated inside the full cost of $68988 (Elegance). Anyone who can explain this? -

bcyn..thanks for telling me abt the engine stuff..the fc for jazz on paper is supposedly 21km/l leh.like so economical hor?hahaha. anyway, erm, one of the reasons y i like the colt is due to the gear stick leh..hhaha..i'm quite silly la..
eh, joshua, i like the IST too!but it's a parallel import right, eh, so dun think can service it and stuff at toyota..and have to think abt spare parts too..or maybe parallel imports arent that bad? pls advice!

can ask me any questions.
there are things i can confirm what others have said.
it's rather spacious despite it's small size.
rear boot space is abit...small...
rear seats slightly higher than front so nice feel. -
if the unpopular gearshift of the colt is anything similiar to the Airtrek's actually, i must say i find it pretty usable.

i'm very interested in both of them too.
just went to C&C to check up COLT and found a new edition next to the RALLIART one.
it's called the ROAR edition.
very NICE, very CYBER but also very Expensive.
costs around 82k.
about 8k more than the regular COLT but think u will like it.
about JAZZ?
hmm...went to AML to check too.
you'll be surprised to find that there's a lot of JAZZ waititng to be sold.
and it's quite cheap too.

woah..so many pple like IST!hehe.. eh, i did think of the IST too..looks nice..but one thing is that the speedometer is in the middle leh, quite weird.hehe..even my father, a lao uncle (opps, dun tell him i said that!haha), thinks that the IST is very chio.haha.alright, does anyone know of anyone selling ISTs? since i cant go to borneo..and can anyone offer more info abt the IST pls???thanks!

IST is a toyota model la JC, i think u referring to the Will VS? Will VS is another seperate brand name under the control of Toyota. IST, WISH, VOXY etc, are all simply models of Toyota, but they seem to be part of Toyota's line of "lifestyle" vehicles, since they dun carry Toyota badging on the front, but, rather, a stylized badge of the 1st letter of the model name.
Eg. VOXY has a stylized V, IST has a stylized I, WISH has a stylized W and so on. -

ahhhh!!!!!!!! i like the 206!!! i also like the new volkswagon golf and the ford focus!!!!! i watched this episode of top gear and it showed that the new golf can withstand 80000 volts of lightning with you in it and you can still survive. what's amazing is after the lightning the car actually starts up with nothing fried during the process! wow man. really safety car. got a 4 or issit 5 star rating for it. golf!!! focus!!! 206!!!!!Originally posted by HENG@:206 206 206.
