Try and locate the source if you can.. I think mine comes from dirty bags and boxes when I go marketing and I'm not sure but I have this silly theory the cockroaches get cold at night..so they crawl up from drains in Multi Storey Parking lots and enter your car in order to find warmth lol silly me..
Anyway.. I saw 1 larger and 2 really tiny ones..so I thought they might be starting a family.
What I would recommend is going to NTUC, buy this product called "Combat Gold". There's another "Combat" but that's for ants I think. I think it's about $5-$6.
They come in a box of 6 disks, effective for 3 months. You just place them inside your car and wait for a few days.. I killed 7 in the first few days and since then, no appearances of cockroaches.
This is how I placed the 6 disks.
1: Center, near windshield, top of dash.
2: CD Changer under driver seat
3: Front passenger seat, stick to side wall housing transmission.
4: Trunk, side wall
5: Divider holding the slideouts of the tarpaulin used to cover the trunk contents. (It's an SUV)
6: I placed this one under the carpet of the left rear passenger area because I didn't know where else I should put them.
I've not tried spraying of insecticide..but I have a hyper nose and I didn't want to subject myself to airbone nerve agents.
Anyway just in case you wanted to know..the cockroaches eat the stuff inside the disk then crawl away to die. I found all the dead ones in the trunk area..so maybe it'll be more effective if you locate where their 'base' is. Hehe hope I am not being too lo soh.
