Most Common Tailgating Car Makes

1) Mitsubishi Lancer
2) Toyota Corolla
3) Nissan Sunny
4) Honda Civic
Somehow, in my case my encounters with hardcore tailgaters revolve mainly around the big 4 above. Alot of them are also body kitted.
Not to say don't want to give way but sometimes the lane beside occupied and he/she comes up so rapidly (ala full bore at twice the legal speed limit) that there is insufficient space and time to filter to the next lane. Then they horn and flash headlights. Bloody irritating
Ocassionally, I just decide to 'clear carbon' and it is so funny how these cars dissappear so rapidly in my rear view mirror.....headlights also cannot see 
Of course, for safety sake we should give way and not play at their level but sometimes really too much leh........their EGO needs to be cut down to size....."dude ur are not driving an EVO or STI.....wonder why u cannot even see my number plate.....now u cannot even see my car....now u cannot even see my tail-lights.... " -
then play along with them...which is what i usually do....let them pass And i'll tailgate them like crazy.....

For a little over $135K and a $1400 ECU upgrade, u geta a 95 Lpt with 220hp and a stonking 330Nm of torque....which is what I did since an Aero (very nice) is over $50K increase
0-100km/hr in about 8.0seconds flat, mid-range is crushing for an auto and top end is quite exciting Aero is still faster but for $50K, I can live with 220hp

Somehow well done Saab. This will show and let them know that they are not the only car in the road and they are not the only "they themselves think powerful cars"
There are lots of powerful cars around just that ppl drive nicely and enjob the ride and not as drive like "xiao kia" -

european make like yours aint tat almighty. perhaps u r roadhogging the lane at a road abiding 80km/h while the traffic is heavy ?

keeping to the left requires little effort...its the ego of an individual that makes the difference. -
Tailgating for me is to see how powerful the front car can be so that next time i know what to purchase when i strike 4D or TOTO mah
Actually i tail those road hoggers on the right ... knn they refuse to budge even when the left is clear or even go faster when there is no car infront ... i mean 'give way lah' who knows i might be in the hurry to the hospital?
Sometimes those ah sa kia with powerful car like to tail me even in the centre lane during the day .... i hate it ... so what i do is just on my head lights, and they will pull quite a distance back, if they come back and push me again i will just off my O/D , the car will slow down quite fast, let the idiot behind bang and pay
Have to admit i am a avid tailgater, but as above, i want to see how well the front car can do only

Uh....actually it is more like a 100-110km/hr, as in the many cars ahead of me. Actually if u noe me at all, I do respect jap performance cars.
If you are talking about modded lancers/sunnys have met them and guess wat?: No FIGHT.....unless u talking about serious engine makeovers , TC and maybe NOS. Not being arrogant but my pal's manual SIR has very much difficulty keeping up to 120, after that it is a lost cause. Yes, his SIR is only mildly modded but then again a SIR is a different league from your sunny, lancer...blah, blah.
Unless your modded sunny or whatever can do 0-160km/hr comfortably under 15 seconds.......don't bother
European cars are not almighty, it's ppl like u that assume their driver s believe so -

Last night, there was this nissan sunny slicing through the CTE @ Kampong Java Tunnel. He nearly kissed the rump of a BMW 735, then swerved left and continued on nearly broadsiding the BMW .....think he was going flat out from his engine note. Sunny was also steering wide....ala fishtailing at the bends. Either the car does not handle well at high speed or the driver is an idiot driving way above his means.
Well I think his antics urked the BM driver who promptly gave chase....amazing how powerful and smooth a huge car like the 735 can be. Anyways I think they both were approaching 160km/hr or more.......the 735 reeled in the sunny like nothing...and sunny still trying to 'hold' the line BM looked like it was about to ram the sunny off the road & finally sunny woke up his idea & gave way.
Strange thing these morons, thinking their ordinary rides can challenge something so much higher up the 'displacement' category. 110+ hp against nearly 300 hp, u have to be kidding. -

depends la ..... but it's mainly a cruising car. the way the car dips in the corners ..... yucky. -
Hard not to blind the car infront even if u tried. Lexus HID bloody powerful, when my dad's LS goes behind me (yep sometimes we need more than 1 car for the family dinner)....even with anti glare mirrors, it is a very 'exposing' experience. RX300, acceleration is strong, can even outrun the XC90 T6. Corners....it is afterall an SUV. Perhaps only the X5 and Porsche Cayenne can do better in terms of handling for large SUVs.

urmm ....... the porsche is out of the league man. even the smallest X3 is out of the league @ 220K. so far, the best SUV i've been in is the X5 4.0L. now, that somehow felt like a car which again is in a totally different league -

Out of the price range perhaps, out of the league, not really. Torque did a side by side test of the large SUVs and the contenders are the X5, Porsche Cayenne base model (not the cayenne turbo S....that will be OUT of league), XC90 T6 and Volks Tourage(is that howis spelt?) And the RX300 came out around the top overall losing nothing in equipment or performance to the other 3 which costs significantly more. I have driven a ML320 up to K.L and back before (this costs more than the X5) and still do not think it has any advantage over the RX300.....infact it seems a little slower in comparison. IMHO the RX300 is as much car as the others luxury SUVs but at an affordable price. -

Actually the most impressive Lexus will have to be the LS430, 0-100 in about 6 seconds All this while carrying over 2 tons of solid japenese engineering. -
