RX8 Fuel comsumption??

HI people,
I plan to get a RX8 in a couple of months, i read reviews on the perofrmance and bulid..and was really interested in it. After that, i went for the test drive and comfirm thats the one i want.
I have a question open to all, esp RX8 owner, i read review that the fuel comsumption is very high for the 1.3L car.
Is that true?
And can i know what is PARF?? keep seeing this in second hand cars?

hi...fuel consumption for a young driver is about 5-6km/Litre
if u want a rough gauge, the honda fit 1.3L car too can get about 15km/Litre on a good day. In fact..the highest ever i heard about a honda fit was 20KM/litre. But that was slow driving without aircon and just expressway all the way.
PARF is the percentage of the OMV that u get back when u scrap your car.
It changes yearly. Not sure if my explanation of PARF is accurate but the Fuel Consumption for the RX8 is definitely accurate.
If i am not wrong...the manual in fact gives a theretical value of 7Km/Litre i think -
the rotary engine's fc is higher bcos the compression is less den a regular piston engine... to gain more power, more fuel is needed... however, the revs in a rotary engine are more as the rotors spin 1/3 the speed of the crankshaft... correct me if im wrong...

RX-8 use rotary engine. It is totally different concept from normal cylinder enginers. Even though its capacity is 1.3L but you should compare it with 2.5-3liter engines. saw some report its FC is around 8km/liter. It have already improved a lot from previous models. Sounds like it will be your first car. First car is a RX-8. Wah...
Actually at this price, you can have a wide range of selection on a decent car. May I ask why you select RX-8? -
Not only does the RX8 consumes petrol, it "consumes" engine oil too. Recommend to change oil every 3-5K although it's not turbo. NIce car though!

Sounds like it will be your first car. First car is a RX-8. Wah...

Actually how much is the RX8? Saw from magazines that its going for about 150k but some parallel importers are advertising it as about 121k.

But after realising the FC is so terrible, i think i should reconsider it.

I dont quite understand the logic. If you are targeting on a performance car like RX8, I am very curious why are you so concern about the slight difference in running cost. I agreed with that. Hack care the FC. If you want to drive this type of car Fc is not the main concern, actually performance and the enjoymnt of the car are more important than anything.
Futhermore, Honda fit cannot compare with this car at all. In term of performance and pricing they are already so much different (one sky one floor). They consider diff cat car.

I would still go for the RX7 infini ... still win the looks cat.
and i work with 5 gears ... head will screwup if there is an extra forward hear
But must agree that it is abit on the high side in terms of the FC ... but what the heck lah ... is a sports car! .... dun expect a lower FC lor -
