RX-8 use rotary engine. It is totally different concept from normal cylinder enginers. Even though its capacity is 1.3L but you should compare it with 2.5-3liter engines. saw some report its FC is around 8km/liter. It have already improved a lot from previous models. But any way, rotary engine is still a bit high in FC comparing with conventional engines.Originally posted by letstwistagain:HI people,
I plan to get a RX8 in a couple of months, i read reviews on the perofrmance and bulid..and was really interested in it. After that, i went for the test drive and comfirm thats the one i want.
I have a question open to all, esp RX8 owner, i read review that the fuel comsumption is very high for the 1.3L car.
Is that true?
And can i know what is PARF?? keep seeing this in second hand cars?
THanks
quite obvious rite? its so cool man!Originally posted by LLukeShen:RX-8 use rotary engine. It is totally different concept from normal cylinder enginers. Sounds like it will be your first car. First car is a RX-8. Wah...
Actually at this price, you can have a wide range of selection on a decent car. May I ask why you select RX-8?
I dont quite understand the logic. If you are targeting on a performance car like RX8, I am very curious why are you so concern about the slight difference in running cost. I would think that the depreciation and insurance of this car will also be cost more than normal sport saloon.Originally posted by letstwistagain:Thanks for all your comments on this topic..
Well i have selected this car beacuse i love the look, perofrmance and handling of it.
But after realising the FC is so terrible, i think i should reconsider it.
Thanks people.
heck the fc lah... such a cool car surely will turn heads 1... the confidence booster is worth the money!Originally posted by letstwistagain:Thanks for all your comments on this topic..

honestly, unless u change the wheels, on stock rims the wheelbase just looks too wide, the proportions make it look like a frog.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:quite obvious rite? its so cool man!

performance car with proton-sized rims![]()
actually the mazdaspeed kit spoils its clean lines. it makes it become very "wannabe" looking. the best cars have no need to resort to gimmicky looking kits to attract attention.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:not only the rims... i saw 1 wif the mazdaspeed bodykit... i was juz staring at it blankly when it went past.
