A lot of Singaporeans have been making the trip up North for car servicing. Guys, care to share what type of servicing you go there for, and also the reasons why? Share your experiences and results too, so that others can learn (to follow or not to follow

prob i am the only one here able to comment abit more lah....
and also wat i want to comment also all u know liao.
Brake Pads i jsut got new lobang for Don(or is it dawn) advante 0 degrees to 500 degrees for most car. 4 brake pads + installation for $200 RM
Flim tinting dont do at the shop i went..not so good..but if uw anna do ice..they are the pros that do it mann..
Tires and wheel alignment...computerised alignment for RM$25 only.
Tires can still trade in old ones for RM$50 for each..

Mostly is 2 do car mods mar tts y ppl go malaysia...but for engine servicing etc I think Most ppl would rather do it in Sgp....

Workmanship good or not ah??
Guess ard half of our mechanics here are from the north. Do you think their service differ?
In case you dont wanna pay more better check out prices in SG n M'sia beforehand.

Here to disturb..... harlow everybody....
The only things that it is worth doing there will be wheel alignment, balancing.... installation of ice system, cable wirings.... and of course doing a car wash... :>
Most of the products that are brought in by malaysian are all fake goods.....
Like the E68..... cannot reallie see from the outlooks but are made from tahiland instead of HK.... The original products are in fact much more expensive then those in Singapore..... so do remember if u pay one penny u will get back one peeny of work.... :> -

They are hard and may squek after using sometime, the quality is so so. They are manufacturer in Malaysia.
Don pads cost less than 50 bucks for the front and another 50 bucks for the rear. I can get at around 30++
And i think RM200 for 4(front and rear) + installation are consider expensive in malaysia or JB. -

Lots of malaysian comes to Spore to buy good CD player and high end tyres. I had help my friend bought some for them.
OE Jap and Contis car parts like absorber, brake pads, timing belts, filter etc are surely cheaper in Singapore.
Fyi, Koni absorber sold in Malaysia is some RM50 more expensive than in singapore per piece so a full set will be like RM200 price different!!!
Tyre balancing, wash and other are surely cheaper in malaysia.
