A School Boy Dashed Across the Road @ Yishun

Anyone knows the primary school name?
The location is after Yishun/Lentor Flyover exiting from SLE.......where we are heading toward Yishun town....
KNNBECCB!!!! yesterday evening i was driving along the bus lane on the 3-lane road with both the 2 car lanes jammed with all vehicles coming to a halt.
As the bus lane was clear, I never took any chance and I cruised slowly along the bus lane......HOLY COW!!!!! a little boy think in his primary 1 dashed across right in front of me at lightning fast speed exactly like what u usually see a cat or dog will do.....
KNN!!!!!! not say he stopped and checked and then dashed across....HE ACTUALLY DASHED from the extreme right side to the extreme left WITHOUT even pause AT ALL....
at that moment, it was a mix feeling of relief, anger, and worry for the boy.....
what if i was speeding at that moment? he could have been knocked and flung off with that kind of horrifying impact....
furthermore, his height was about car bonnet height......see beh HENG ahhhhh.......i will write to the school to advice the school to educate its students.......
anyone knows the school? i only observed he was wearing a light blue collar white shirt.... -

sorry i cun help since i'm not familar with dat area.... but school children nowadays really kiam pa.....
yesterday when i was driving along a two way lane, just abt to cross a traffic light when i see two school boys (should be p1 too) waiting by the road.. saw them aiming and throwing an empty soft drink can at my car!!! luckily it didnt hit my car.... if not i will haf stop, jump down n give them a hell of a scolding.... + take down their names and report them to their school + ask their parents to pay for the damages!!!
so fellow drivers, beware.... whether dashing kids or cans throwing kids.... -
Hi me new here. Just passed driving. Wah, u mean school children especially P1 so young can be allowed to cross roads without parents ah? No wonder my driving instructor always tells me to 'check yr blindspots'. This is so sad - that students don't understand the value of life.
Many years ago, I was sitting at the front seat of the upper deck of a bus. Saw a boy dash across the road, got hit by a car and went down on the ground in a fetal position...
Couldn't eat after that.
Another girl jumped over the lower center divider fence and got hit by a car. Fortunately, driver has good brakes. Dumb girl, the pedestrian crossing was less than 4 meters away. Her mother had the cheek to scold the driver. Had to shut up immediately when the driver told her the pedestrian crossing is just a few meters away.
Please advise your siblings/children/young relatives that dashing across the road is dangerous.... -
they r actually waiting by the road at the traffic lights... u wun see them at your blind spots.... blind spots r supposed to be o ur left and right whereby u cun see in ur rear, left n right mirror (pls correct me if i'm wrong).... guess on normal roads, esp near after school hours. e.g. 6.30-7.00pm, got to be extra careful.... if not jialat man.....Originally posted by Newdriver:Hi me new here. u are damn rite, gotta be very careful nearing school zones. i mean dun those parents of such young kids pick them up after school or take school bus? i always panick when i drive on the road, regardless of peak or off-peak hours. aarrrggghhh stupid school kiddies problem ........ it happens every time lah ... esp when u are driving near schools.
There was a time when i was driving past a secondary school near Yishun park (not going to name the school), the road is a stright stretch and mtr bikes loves to ban corner there mah ... then there was once i drove past the school at ard 1pm ... some idiots was fighting in the middle of the road!!!! whoa lau .. i tell myself, if i was driving a bloody Lorry or a big van, i will drive stright thru them sia .... !@$#@#%@#$% can u imagine how dangerous it was? even though they wanted to kill each other, but pls .. they can do it else where rather then posing a harzard to road users!!!!

i seen one primary school student walking across the road like he ah gong owned the road, somemore red light and still walk slow taking his own bloody sweet time all the cars have to stop because of him

I saw the same scenario infront of me while waiting for the bus. One Indian girl and a Chinese boy was running to catch the incoming bus. At the divider, the boy stop but the girl didn't. A car hit her and she flung up and landed about 10 meters from the impact location with her files and papers flying around. She lay motionless and the driver was in shocked state that he remain in the car for 5 minutes. Tat's why approachin school zone, gonna be careful n drive slowly... My dad ways warn me, esp at car park areas, drive slowly n look out... People sometimes didn see jus drive out, or dash out dez...
Got one time, a driver, new de, looks young... She jus reverse out lik tat, no need see car or no car de! Power! N her dad somemore beside her, didn say anythin i guessed! My dad drivin, he more alert, so nothin lor... Eh, if me hor... Hard to say le... She blur, i so blur...
Drivin requires full concentration n quick reaction... Haiz... But where got people really so pay attention to all tis de...
Each time if somebody gets knock down, all the blame goes to the driver... It may be the fault of the pedestrian, but then no body would really pt it out... Coz is the pedestrian is hurt, not so the driver...
But whose ever faults it is, the person drivin the car, surely will have guilty conscious... Poor thing... -

hence, juz bear wif it while driving thru these areas and those small roads. keep a lookout for the old and the young ones. wat to do? like one of the guys mentioned, life isn't fair!
