Shell Station - Opp Anson Centre

Was at the shell station opposite Anson Centre last night. Saw the 7% discount and wanted to fill up.
The attendant told me 98, 95 all sold out, only have V-power($1.60/litre). No choice. Some of the motorist were also cursing away. Where got such thing sold out? Didn't they do some forecasting on consumption or are they enticing customer to come in and 'force' them to use V-Power. Even after 7% discount, it is still way too expensive than 98.
At the end I top up to full from half tank and it cost me $44.60/-. My full tank on 98 will only cost me $55/- at most. Can't help driving away, feeling cheated!
Anyone here has such experience? -

U should pump on weekends- the disc is 10% but always all types sold out left V Power

hahaha... its shell mah. been telling ppl a log time dun pump shell liao...
always pump at mobil, at bukit timah rd, even with 7%, they never have this porblem of being sold out. very impressive. -
although shell petrol damn ex, i heard frm my fren that he could feel the power increase when using v-power compared to esso and mobil's 98. but unless i really bo pian then i use v-power(never bought any yet). s'pore not much places to speed, so 98 is gd enough for me. btw really got 10% disc on weekends meh? shell only or for all stations?

thats becos V power got some additives inside, of course will be a bit more powerful than other 98s la... u wanna compare, should be comparing shell 98 to mobil 98, caltex 98, BP 98 etc...

The attendants there do ask what petrol u need and u have a choice to pump or to go. I was there last saturday. Dun think u were cheated. ONLY petrol kiosks situated near Ministers' and MPs' houses offer cheaper petrol...with greatest discount....

What option is there to exercise when you have only ONE option? My point is they should have put up a sign that 98 and 95 sold out, next to the 7% discount board. V-power is a better grade petrol. Dun worry...U just paid for higher grade petrol...not kenna cheated lah. Attendant did not fill up full tank during mu last visit. I only know it when I was paying at the cashier. How come it cost me $48? They must be too busy.

I agree with [email protected] y pump V-power? For your info....every shell station is competing 2 see which one sells the most V-power every month....I know that cos i once worked at shell...if they resprt 2 this 2 increase their V-power output I'd say its despicable....Of course my ex company (shell serangoon gardens) does not do that and we never had the problem of petrol being "sold out" and y pump V-power? no matter how fast yr car is u cannot control the traffic that is in front of yea....and u wun get much gains in speed just by pumping petrol...I'd rather mod the engine....agreed?
