ever wonder why police nv use honda as their patrol car?

i have seem them using a lot of different makes like mit lancer, toyota corolla, nissan sunny , mazda 626 ,323. even the new thai toyota. but i still havnt see honda on the road.
even expressway patrol also use bmw and volvo, y not merc? -
send a letter to kah motors/c n c and spf and ask them why lor.

there are a couple of reasons... one of them being the image of the police force... the other being the budget.

Cos Civics too beng, Spoilt police image.
Police(Government) are clever. They only chose those good cars, RELIABLE and long lasting with cheaper price in therm of few Jap car choices. They wont because of the look and brand and chose Civics.hahahaha!!!!

The sole reason is that mazda n toyota offered them a better deal when honda didnt. Everything spf does is on a budget fixed by mha. spf sends out a tender request and they'll pick the most value for money deal.

but there are police cars from honda! i've seen honda city being used as a police car. the shape of honda city is quite distinct so i couldn't have been mistaken.

I wonder, why no one post 'why police don't use Subaru Impreza Sedan' as police cars? or even 'Why police don't use Seat Toledo as police cars'?
Seat Toledo GT is actually the most budget GT Turbo car in its class ... and i dun see much of it on singapore roads ... maybe chionsters believe in Jappy cars more? -

Why traffic police use Volvo and BMW to be the highway patrol? why dont use WRX, EVOs or other Turbo charged like in japan, they have GT-R for the traffic police there hahahaha!!! should be the cost lah...i guess..

eh johncooper, say leh... i want to know why they dun use honda. btw i think it is more worthwhile if they use the cars mentioned in the previous post. a bmw or volvo certainly costs more and performs lousier than a rex...

why police never use turbo car for TP because when people is speeding on singapore express way and kanna by tp they will stop because if u Run and lose out to the BMW you go to jail but not like the japan they Run away and can not be seen because they got so much of HP that a normal mazda 323 can't catch up and by the way japan car can be modded but singapore can not that's why TP no skyline or EVO or Etc, for your information "FANCE" TP are using EVO and "Japan" are using GT-R and "Singapore" BMW or VOVL

singapore roads dun require that powerful cars? so cheap cheap car can le. how many hi-speed police chase ever happen in sg -_-. jus count the no. of traffic lights, pedistrian crossings u encountered. not cost wise to haf such power cars running on the roads.lol. skarli the car higher maintaince than catchin offenders fine. lol.

well..spf has never used any honda cities as their patrol vehicles. if u ever take a closer look to the police vehicles like mitsubishi lancer, u'll notice that they aren't fit for humans! the cushions & fabrics are already torned & the car smells...sucks.
also for volvo that tp uses, it's already quite a fast car since it's an S40 T4. anyway, how fast do u need? it doesn't have to catch up with those gt-rs, evos or wrxs. so long as they take down ur vehicle number, that is enough for them to summon u. haha, so y bother to risk their own lives by going neck-to-neck at 150km/hr with these vehicles?

I guess that is something about image. Most of the time, the traffic police are tracing cars like, civic, wrx and evo. So... police force purposely choose other brand cars to make people easy to distinguish good guys and bad guys.
