The most important thing is no one 'book' any particular lots.
My father's place got one farker..always park at the special lot which is alone by itself in the multistorey carpark. If anyone parks that lot...that car sure kenna scratch. But that farker's car always park there and nothing ever happen to it..so we noe that farker 'book' the lot.
maybe he doesnt want his car to get scratched..in case he has offended someone.Originally posted by ShutterBug:I have this current ongoing experience at the multi-storey carpark I park in.
While it is understood that even though we pay for our season parking in HDB multi-storey carparks, we don't actually have any rights over any particular lots that we park in. But, it is natural that most if not all motorists, WILL usually park in ONE particular lot all the time. Am I right so far?
Ok, I see that usually people will park in one particular lot every day, or if on rare ocassions when the lot is taken, will park in the next nearest lot.
There is this one strange fellow, who drives a Honda Civic, who doesn't really have a particular lot that he parks in, and he parks in different levels on different days of the week. And as if he has some strange pattern to follow, he'd park in my usual lot for a couple days, then go on and park in the lot my neighbor always parks in, and go on to others. And at the end of the week, I'd find him parked on the ground floor in someone else's usual spot.
Could anyone here, tell me, what kind of practice is this? I know he has not committed any crime. It's not WRONG to park in any lots in a public carpark. But I just can't help wondering WHY, he does this weird pattern of parking in people's regular lots?
Enlighten me....
nothing wrong what?? what's so weird abt it??? i do that also...i dont find anything weird...i think i find u weird instead...I just find any lot that i see close to the exit no matter which level if available i just take upon my own convenience. My house carpark ground level then B1 and B2....i parked anywhere anytime...i dont see why ppl need a particular lot on the normal public HDB parking area...there is one skyline at the multi storey carpark, he parks anywhere sometimes near the staircase...sometimes in the middle of the other lot which is closer to the lift...sometime he parked at b2 which is not close to anywhere...also my house quite new..in sengkang...all lot very free...but the skyline also park anywhere one...Originally posted by ShutterBug:I have this current ongoing experience at the multi-storey carpark I park in.

I dun think anything wrong wif that...maybe he parked at ur lot n u r not happy...maybe next time u can use a rubbish bin to put at ur lot...he might not notice that this particular car always parked at the lot since u say ur carpark is very empty,so its even harder to differentiate unless u look at the lot num....if u want, den next time juz tell him loh..he park way up maybe his doing some hanky panky biz...ha ha...Originally posted by ShutterBug:Let me point out to you guys here, that the multi-storey carpark I am talking about, is in a new estate. And there are PLENTY of vacant lots from the 2nd floor upwards. Only about 10% of this carpark is occupied.
Sometimes, I'd find this strange fellow's car parked way up on a deserted floor with no other cars in sight.
If he's parking for security reasons, I don't know what kind of security sense he has, parking in a floor with not a soul in sight.
My neighbors, friends, and peoples in general, will park so that they can see their cars. Therefore, people stick to particular lots.
I am fully aware that NO ONE, have ANY rights to any one particular lot. But nonetheless, taking people's regular space is somewhat disruptive and rude. Although it is not a crime.
Car scratching at the multi-storey carpark at my estate is difficult to do without being noted or spotted. Because the carpark floors are only about 30 meters away from surrounding blocks. Even if one resorts to crwaling on his belly to reach a car and scratch it, you'd still be seen.
So people generally park near windows of surrounding blocks, and residents will have particular lots they will stick to. This guy is like going around making people's day by taking up their usual choice of lots.
