VTEC = Something my motorcycle also have... i remember i had a thread on VTEC Engines... explaining how it works.

vti is just a variant of civic.. vvti is corolla's variable valve timing technology.. which acts on the exhaust valves.. closing and opening then at different times at different revs to maximise efficiency..
as for vtec, it modulates both the valves' timing and lift.. in both the exhaust and intake valves.. in honda's normal vtec this is optimised for fuel efficiency and low end torque.. as for sports models its optimise for maximum performance.. while not sacrificing low end torque.. only in the i-vtec engines.. found in accords, odysseys, s2000.. except civics and jazzs and city -
to make it simpler, vti is among the range of civics available. exi, vti, vti-s, in ascending price order...
vvt-i & vtec are the technological branding of the toyota & honda engines respectively. from the above postings u should know what they stand for already...

Nissan = CVTC.
Other cars also have this variable timing thing, just that they don't call it vvti. maybe patented by Toyota lor. -

Honda outboard motors also have vtec.
