No comparison, Vios is a lower class with Thai-built quality (noisier cabin too), go for the Sunny, made in Japan and better built quality (better comfort cabin)Originally posted by Extremme:Hi,
Intend to get either a NS or TV manual gear. Which do you think is better?? The TV is abt $1k more than NS.
Are you sure??? Vios more expensive than Sunny meh?Originally posted by Extremme:Hi,

Is there a manual Vios version in SG?Originally posted by Extremme:Hi,

yes there are..Originally posted by starrystars:Is there a manual Vios version in SG?
Thai-made, Thai-assembled, what's the difference? The problem lies with the lower than standards built quality, heavy use of localised materials, not as stringent quality control, as those which are made in Japan, undeniable about that.Originally posted by AnthonyT:vios not thai-made, it's thai-assembled. anyway many branded goods nowadays got the 'made in china" label, who cares? some ppl just can't have proper mindset...
The Sunny is more solid alright, it have European Safety Standards Chassis. (Vios have none, not even Japan Safety Standards) To realised the real power of the Sunny, one must rev above 4000 rpms.Originally posted by Extremme:actually I am not very concern abt its power. I just need a normal family car which is economical.Comparing the 2, NS seems to look more solid.
Like I have mentioned, real powers kicks in only after 4000rpms. To ensure good fuel efficiency, one got to shift up at 2000 rpms, and light on the throttle of course.Originally posted by Subbx:Please DO NOT get the Sunny. It is cheap yes, but only on the upfront. You are forgetting things like FC. The FC of the NS is really really bad compared to the other cars, and when you are comparing it with a Toyota, known for fuel saving, the choice is clear cut. Dun get fooled into buying a Sunny just because the retail price is cheap, there are other factors involved. No offence to Sunny owners, because I myself drive one, so I know.![]()
Go do a simple close door test on both cars, listen to the closing sound, that will basically tells you the difference in Built Quality.Originally posted by Extremme:Hrm...seems like NS is my choice then. Thks.
Do a proper testdrives of both cars, below is the guide:Originally posted by Extremme:Hrm...seems like NS is my choice then. Thks.
i think vios will be much more better, cuz the NS fuel consumption will be much more higher than the vios...and if you want to get a car which can last longer,i think toyota is the best, although vios is thailand made...but do you think that it will make much diff? in my point of view is that all have to depends on how you take care of the car and not by judging it came from where...Originally posted by Extremme:Hi,

The Sunny FC is at best 9 km per litre. Only those who are selling the Sunny sales rep will disagree with this figure.Originally posted by pixy:Like I have mentioned, real powers kicks in only after 4000rpms.
