They DON'T operate during peak hours? That's wrong... I should know... got a ticket at 6pm... and that's peak hours... peak hours got more cars... all the more reason for them to go 'huntung'...Originally posted by Axl:hi... hope to share some tips on how to outwit those pesky parking attendants URA/HDB/CISCO...here's some findings... maybe u all can confirm...
by the way, do you all buy season parking at your HDB if u're staying at one? i bought for abt 3 months... now never buy... so far not bad.... kanna once a month only....
1. They don't operate when its raining. Maybe cause of TSR. I think b'cos the parking ticket will be wet and will tear.
2. They also don't operate during peak hours like 7am - 9am... 5pm to 7pm... have not kanna a ticket during this timing... maybe a lot of cars moving in and out of carpark, dangerous for them...
3. (Waiting for contributions)
hmm.... maybe your parking attendants are ex-commandos... more garang....Originally posted by LH83:They DON'T operate during peak hours? That's wrong... I should know... got a ticket at 6pm... and that's peak hours... peak hours got more cars... all the more reason for them to go 'huntung'...
Hmm....TSR sounds too much like an Army term to be used in this context though..Originally posted by Axl:1. They don't operate when its raining. Maybe cause of TSR. I think b'cos the parking ticket will be wet and will tear.

Bedok 85 alway got aunties walking ard ... saw them quite a few times there ...Originally posted by Axl:thanks for contribution...
i also noticed this... they don't check at places where there are heavy traffic for e.g Blk 85, Bedok there... which is a popular makan place... maybe got lots of vehicles parking short time there...
people who are riding can try this, i did b4 successfully before... cover your bike first... use the stand to hold down the cover and then push your bike a bit forward so that front and back wheel hold down the cover... the poor parking attendant tried in vain to lift the cover to check me.... while i was watching from upstairs.... laughing away... haha...
NOT only can it be hard to park for free, it can also be a disadvantage for those parking <30mins.Originally posted by SIN_0:to all hopeful bros,
the town councils which are in charge are now 'outsourcing' to parking contractors.
they are now building gantry pts just like those entry pts at commercial centres.
there's 1 going to be operational at the Pasir Ris car park near the fishing pond, using Cashcard in IU.
so it's gonna be hard to get free parking in future.
well compared to what i've seen here, sg is quite relaxed already. The traffic wardens here DO operate on a commision. They are sharp and eagle-eyed, I've seen tons of cars being clamped. I've even seen them clamp a tlelephone repair truck which was there to do repair works. Being a repair truck of course it wouldn't have a valid parking permit for the local area, but did they care? Nooooooo.... and then when u get clamped, which usually comes with the ticket, it means u're S$1200 poorer.Originally posted by sv3n:these guys are blood suckers!..
my fren kanna summon at 4.57am!!..at jalan kayu..wah kao..
see money they fly ar..wonder if they get commision..if not y so hardworking..![]()
