I'm goin to get a new car very soon .... most likely to be within this week. was lookin at 3 models at the moment,
1) Toyota Altis 1.6
2) Vios 1.5
3) Lancer sport 1.6
Base on all the studies tat i've done, most will say toyota will be more reliable and better build .. y?

don't see the point as most will say tat's wat they hear from frienz.
Lancer sports realli lookz gd (quality and feel) both inside out, but not for toyota, and personally i will think this is a very imp point as i want to feel gd while driving.

But my studies tell me that a lancer sport will be doin 12km/l for FC and Altis will be doin ~14km/l and toyota FC will be more stable as compare to lancer .... how true is this?
now here's where i will need some real comments,
I love lancer but was worried abot the relibility issue and FC. Vios n Altis will ease my mind from this issue but i dont get the feel when i drive and look at the car ...and also i'm thinking of 5 yrs down the road when i wanna sell the car .. wat kin of problem will i see from these 3 diff cars ? - taking into account that i will be having 10 yrs loan ?

thakz

1) Altis spacious and fuel saving, good as a family sedan. Good also if FC is important to you. Easy to sell on one hand few years down the road as it's a good car with good market value. However, too many Altis on the roads now may cause its value to drop as there is too much of a surge in its numbers. Maintenance is also fairly inexpensive. However, has image of family saloon, which you might not get used to. And in terms of power, not much to speak of. Just a very family-oriented sedan IMHO

2) Not as nice as Altis but the other attributes aka fuel saving remain somewhat the same. Still, I personally think it's a bit on the ugly side

Boot space is limited though. And let's face it: for a few K more, I rather get the Altis but that's personal

3) Sporty car, FC quite high, maintenance more expensive. Power somewhat there. Market value is there but I think it's dropping *shrug* Mitsubishi has concentrated too much on the Evo series and neglected its lower end market, that is what I feel. Mitsubishi engine have not really gone through any major overhaul/fine tuning for some time? Not sure about this, you can check it out. But if you are going for sporty look, get this

Add a fierce looking spoiler and LED lights and you will get many challengers on the roads

My lousy 2 cents worth
P.S. I'm just giving a layman's view
