Parallel Import Merc E200 or C&C?

Looking bet Parallel Import and C&C for Merc E200, I noticed the following differences:
1) PI is cheaper by around $20K or so
2) PI is Classic, but they will retrofit locally to "close to Elegance".
3) PI will add 6 CD changer & leather seats.
4) PI still lacks leather steering wheels & gear knob (rubber) & electrical seat for passenger.
Same:
1) Electrical seat with memory for driver for both
2) 3 yr warranty.
Any other differences? Advice? Thx. -

But i personally will not get a merc E200, is like so common and Taxis are going on E200 also ... i would get a Jag or a Volvo for that price

Found out that to add all the extra's given by C&C as part of the Elegance package, along with rebates, the C&C offer is very competitive with PI.
Guess I'll go with C&C then. Thanks. -
My uncle once parallel imported his E200 before, nothing but air-con problems. Apparently the air-con system that came with it wasn't suited for Singapore's climate, so you can roughly guess where the problems start.
By the way, he still has the car, but with the air-con replaced. -

just a little suggestion. Why not consider a pre-owned one? There are loads of nearly new ones on the market + you'll save a bomb. Would be happy to point you in the right direction if you'd like.

Did consider pre-owned, but last month, C&C was giving very aggressive rebates with their Star Rewards. We did our sums, and it came up pretty much in favour for a new car as long as we keep it for some time (which we probably will since it's a Merc )
Besides, we wanted Cubanite Silver on Anthracite (Black) interior, not a very common combination yet in the pre-owned market as many still go for the milder pebble biege interior. -
Personally i would avoid the Classic-Spec Mercedes. If im not wrong, not all Parallel Importers bring in the Classic model, some also bring in the Elegance Spec direct from Germany which features 98% of the version brought in by Cycle and Carriage (the only difference is the lack of front passenger memory settings for the seat, it is semi-electrically adjustable). It is offered at a lower price but sometimes there is a lower Warrenty period because of this intial lower price.
I would highly recommend the Mercedes E200K. The Taxis brought in newly are the E220 CDi, by the way, which is a diesel varient. There is a reason they are used for high-end taxi services - because the E-Class Mercedes is among the best built and reliable in its class, despite recent claimed quality issues with Mercedes Benz automobiles.
The E200K is surprisingly punchy in performance and the engine is very smooth at both low and high revolutions. It does not offer the direct performance of the E320 version but is infact quicker than the E240 V6 version, despite official claims, with this being because of the fact that the engine is a much-lighter 1.8 Litre Alloy version as opposed to the older 2.6 litre V6 used in the E240, with more torque at lower revolutions and 95% of the horsepower of the latter engine.
The best way to find out about the car is to check with different Parallel Importers and the versions/ specifcation level of the car they offer and also test-drive the actual car to get a better feel for it. -
Thanks for the tip. The more I read about the new 1.8L Twinpulse Kompressor, the more I like it (I already liked it when I test drove both the C200 and E200).

I was struggling bet E200K and E240, but have decided for the E200K. It just seems to make more sense, as pointed out by you (same bhp, better torque at lower revs, better fuel efficiency, lower price and lower rd tax!)
