no bumping of this topic again else it will be deleted ...Originally posted by jiayong:bump for intended party
I can see that you got your msg across dude ... Case close .. hahaOriginally posted by jiayong:i got no problems with him coming to meet ups or asking pple to pop their bonnets.
BUT IT IS a problem when he comes up to pple and stating that he is my friend before he decides to pester other pple to pop their bonnets. of cos i gotto apologise right? in the first place my friends are not close friends and are more like aquaintences...If i didnt explain...they would most prob shun me. And lucky i did explain to ease the tension...cos after that then they gave their comments about him freely.
anyway..i bumped just now cos i saw him online. point noted. i wont bump again.

Please mann...i know you are all excited about cars and modding but please first learn the basic courtesy when meeting a new car friend?
Yesterday at West Coast, there were many car groups there and i am sure all of us are excited to make new friends. But the moment you meet some one new, you are bombarding him with forceful questions like "Hey, tell me what you have modded mann" "whats under your bonnet mann"
Then when u asked the Vios what has he done, i know u are harmless and just wanted to find out..but can u pls phrase your questions properly next time? The impression you gave him was that he spent so much effort on cosmetics and done nothing to performance and that he is stupid and useless.
Seriously, u have scared more than half my friends away. Modding, especially to those serious about their cars...is a topic that they never tell other pple unless u are very close to them.
Do you know how long i got to know the SIR owner before i even dare to ask him let me try his clutch? and you havnt even got his name and you want to know whats under his bonnet.
Further more, when u introduced yourself to the Odyssey(think i spell wrongly) owner...how did u ask him? "Aei... u dont have a name?" my gawd!!!! i almost fainted on the spot mann!!! that guy is a working class adult with a wife and father to be....and you are just a secondary school kid...pls show more respect?
And just before you left...its like almost ritual for all meet ups that we have...you dad waiting there for you in a rush to go off and u just sit there happily eating your fries slowly and sipping your coke...Cant you just wake up your idea? have you spared a thought for us and for the moderator for organising the outing? you dad was just next to our table standing and waiting....how do u expect us to continue our meal and conversations properly? You know that how embaressed i am to meet you dad everytime we go out?
Needless to say, so were both the new moderators yesterday.
I am saying this for your own good. i hope you take this the correct way.

Aiyah mods if done in accordance to LTA's guidelines are legal, no problems to pop the hood to show an enthusiast. Far as I know many Saabs are legally modded (Agent Warrantied somemore)....LTA & TP cannot do a thing to usAs for gains as long as you do not believe in snakeoil.....you do get power (close) and torque (surpassing) to a WRX STi if ur talking about a standard 9-5 2.0 lpt with a healthy dose of greenbacks
....if you are talking about a 9-5 Aero....that is an entirely different story
does a 600 hp, 750NM Maptuned special sound interesting to you.....and yes it is street legal too.
Aiyah....bunny2002sg can pop my hood and satisfy his curiosity...but he is not to get into the driver's seat!!!
Or Bunny, would you like to pop all 4 hoods in my garage??? Free of charge...only request u wash 1 car....see so nice to you 4 for the price of 1![]()
