Why no Proton Satria on sg roads?

I am no car expert, but I'm just curious as to how come the beautiful proton satria isn't on sg road? too ex? actually, i didnt know that it was a proton satria until someone told me...it looks like an old honda esi hatchback...dont know about the specs though...

Old Honda hatchback? Dude! The Satria is the old model Mitsubishi Colt... Anyway I think maybe it's stigma, no one wants to drive a "Mat" car 
(just kidding). Personally I wouldn't get one cause I know how cheap they are just across the causeway and how much they cost here. -

You just have to open your eyes bigger. got a couple... It was based on early 90's mitsubishi colt.....

we hav Satria GTI but not Satria...
i juz saw two of these last week n tot they were malaysian car but its not...
malaysia got lots of fake GTi but in sg if u see one n its confirmed not fake one.
the body is more like the old colt instead of the civic hatch...
its a 1.8litre dohc engine...about 140-150 hp...
there r only a few in sg i think is bcos its quite pricey for proton...
cost around $110K when it was launched... -
Singapore got quite a few Satria GTi...
So far i saw abt 3-4 at Turf City car mart... -
I saw abt 2 on the road already. It is a nice car. Maybe becos of the name proton. Dat y not much ppl buy. But i have saw review on the web. The comments for tis car is not bad!

ya, agree. Some people are bias towards Malaysia produced car. Have also read rather positive and encouraging comment for the Satria. Shd be a good car. The car performance is good...... pickup is consider fast than normal cars and top speed at 200km/h
But..... there are still squeaking sound found on that car like other proton do...... then only draw back.

Offcially, C&C brought in 20 units of the proton satria GTi back in the 90s. Sales wasn't good of cos being 1.8L eng too big for Cat A , underpowered against the cat B turbo monsters. Imagine drive in to JB, kenna chiat by satria-lution. Over the years some crash total loss some exported (to as far as AUS). oni a handful left. No doubt they will be kept alive by their passionate owners, juz like the daihatsu charade GTti and suzuki swift GTi. *sigh*

the Satria GTi can easily takes on a Colt... -
Of course..... colt is 1.6 and satria Gti is 1.8

Silver color is Satria Gti 1.8.... in malaysia there are ranges of color like blue, red, green, etc for satria 1.3 and 1.6.
Satria gti has twin square exhaust pipe.
