Hi Everyone,
May I know or rather can anyone tell me, which is better, NUS Electrical Engg or NTU Electronics and Electrical Engg? Also, what are the differences? And if travelling to NUS is much faster than to NTU, let's say about 2 hours faster which is inclusive of the to and fro trip, Which one will be a better choice??
Thanks for replying!
Yours sincerely,
Don
Many have asked this question. All i can say is that there is no real answer.
The crux of the matter is usually decided by grades. I understand that NUS demands better A level results than NTU. That does not inadvertedly mean NTU's Engine courses are inferior. I have seen straight A students come to NTU and struggle with the core curriculum.
Common Engine in NTU has now been extended to a period of 2 years. I believe this is mostly in response to NUS's move to extend it's own common engine duration from 6 mths to 1 year. So any student seeking a electrical, mechanical or civil engine degree in NTU will have to spend 4 years, 2 of which studying common engine subjects.
As a note: NTU exam papers are WORLD CLASS. It is truly a challange to complete one at all. In this, I dun speak alone. Many others including NUS students and MIT exchange professors have admitted it takes considerable intellect to score in any of the papers at all.
So as to whether the electrical engine in NUS or NTU is better, i cannot answer u. But perhaps i can better respond by citing an example:
Students who went to neighbourhood schs have performed well in environments wif less stress compared to a student who studied in high-flying schs like RI.
It is not whether either university is better but whether u can enjoy the course while u study. This in truth can be done at both universities. Only the individual preferences take precedence here.
so choose based on ur desires....
