Anyone currently doing this here? I'm slated to enter NTU egineering faculty next year and decided to look into electrical as it is quite promising...
Anyone care to share some insight on it? All I really know is its heavy on maths and physics..I want to know what other skills will be helpful and is the competition for a place in it tough?

Hi,
Well I m currently in EEE of NTU.
Basically I feel that you learn a lot of theories and textbook stuffs. However there's very little practical hands on which I feel is more important. In this aspect, the poly students are ways ahead True there are a lot of maths but not so for physics.
The course's changed from 1 yr common eng to 2 yrs of common eng. which covers more general modules. Take ur time to discover what you like studying to decide which of the schools(EEE, MPE and CEE) you want to go after 2 yrs.
Cheers Jerry

Polish up on Maths dude. 2 years in the army must have made you forget almost everything. The 1st year in uni is crucial, make a good start.
