Is the module you want offered next sem? Most courses will not allow you to take a module if you do not have the pre-requisites and even concurrent is not often allowed so its best to clear it asap. Furthermore, you should have a better idea of the contents of that course if you retake earlier than later.
I from engineering sector , ya it is offer next sem. so dkcx your point is that i clear my module asap. i got thinnk of that also but my next sem is like very heavy load. am i going to be alright coping with all this? i kindda of getting worried / paranoid. maybe its my 1st time. any one care to share personal experience?

Any electives next sem or is it all core? If theres any electives you can drop, you can consider dropping it since core takes piority.
I know engineering side is quite pack but depending on how your modules are scheduled in the future, sometimes a delay of 1 module might result in a delay in graduation due to all the pre-requisites issues.
LOl.. all core. can't drop anything. Timetabling wise i can manage to squeeze it in just that i have less time to rest. ya delay in grad also quite sianz le..think i gotta think a while ba. dkcx u also from ntu ma?

How many AUs u taking next sem? 1st yr content generally shouldn't be too hard cos abit of revision work though after 2 yrs NS, its common to 4get most stuff.
Modules get harder as you go along so yr 2 taking that module might be even tougher for you and theres still the factor on whether you will be allowed to take the module which this is a prerequisite of. Depending on how important that module is and whether its offered in both sems or just 1, that can affect your graduation.
I'm a 3rd yr CBC student.
i think i taking 20 + au next sem ba.. around that amount.. lol i go appeal see how . Hope god lady luck is on my side . thanks man
Argh, examination results released and my first semester was quite bad as well, scrapping 2.08 GPA this semester.
Kingkongofkings, which subject did you fail? For me it is Thermodynamics and I'm not sure how things work considering the fact that I've already set my timetable.

Thermo is a yr 1 engineering module?
Thermo is a killer for almost every course that takes it so don't be demoralised or anything, personally i hate it as well and got my 1st ever C+ from it.
If you can fit in thermo and you do intend to take it, generally there should be vacancies or else you can just appeal for the module which i believe the school will grant you.
LOl i also fail thermo.. damm sianz.. killed mi

Yr 2 thermodynamics module or yr 1 physics with thermodynamics as a component?
the only course i know that takes thermo during year 1 is CBE...
cos i am from there =)
so by any chance are u guys from there too???
lol.. mine is yr 2 thermo.. Toiletries which mod u fail? mech eng thermo ma?
Oh I'm sorry about the late replies and yeah, Mech Engineering Year 2 [Direct from Poly here, sorry]
I'm planning to take it again, that dastardly MP2303 module, although that means overloading my AUs to 26. If not for the Heat Dynamics and another Year 4 core requiring Thermo, I would have considered taking it next semester.
What about you Kingofkingkongs?
And nope n0x, I'm in MAE sector.
if that's the case...
i am sorry i cant really advise you guys regarding this matter...
CBE thermo is very different from MAE thermo in terms of course work...
good luck in retaking the module though... =)
