Poly to NTU direct 2nd year?

Hi.

I received offer to go directly to 2nd year. Personally I am weak in Maths. The curriculum in year 2 covers Engineering Maths in 1st sem and 2nd sem.

If i were to start from year 1, I would have maths in year 1 to year 2. Would that be worst (more maths to study) or good (seeing that i get foundation and refresh my mind after 2 years of NS)

Should I appeal to start from year 1? Would starting from year 1 help to pull up GPA? Any one with experiences starting from year 2? How are you coping? What are your opinions? thank you!

start from year 2. Work extra hard. Dun waste time doing year 1. Really work ur tutorials, do ur practices starting from day 1. I'm direct entry into yr 2 too.

Year 1 engineering maths is what you learn in your poly, you dont need to repeat.

Thanks. Do you guys like struggle to make friends as the rest already know each other for a year? I'm kinda worried bout this as well, as projects, work and FYP requires relationships and teamwork..

Hi. I am a year 3 gg to year 4 student from NTU. In the new academic year, i have to do final year project. I would be busy and need a hostel/hall to stay. I would like to ask if there are any freshmen who does not wish to stay in hostel could apply for hostel for me and I apply for Squatter to stay in your hostel. Its perfectly legal. I am also from poly last time. U wat engineering? maybe i can pass u notes and reports? Maths for poly students like us is very difficult and i got C+ for Maths....
