Having read both, i feel that the tribune's articles are more informative and draggy then exciting. The editors lack a distinct punchline and hence cannot reach out to the student population.
Also, the stories do not relate closely to NTU students and thus ppl "flip" the papers rather than stop to explore the articles.
Nanyang chronicle seems to have a more open atmosphere. Their articles are down to earth and are the kind that informs students of the on-goings in campus without being overly boring and yet stay informative.
Several controversial issues are also covered which make ppl sit up and take notice.
Reading NYC is like a breath of fresh air. It relaxes students. In fact i look forward to every issue distributed.
Tribune on the other hand....
