Tis' the nature of beauty -- it doesn't last. On the exterior, at least.
Besides, Lin did come into the limelight much earlier -- as Jerry Yan's girlfriend. (Yan was one of the members of Taiwanese boyband F4). However, she wasn't much noticed at that time, not even with Yan by her side.
