hyphenation of names is now prevalent at work.. when ladies marry some dude, they take their husband's family name while keeping their own...
if you have a family name "Peh", try not to hyphenate your surname if you marry a dude with a name Lim.. coz you'll end up being Mrs Lim-Peh...
or worse, his name is Kao and you end up Mrs Kao-Peh
the same goes for ladies with the family name of "Boo"...
there are lots of permutations.. like Tan-See, Tan-Koo, Chow-Chee..
so, give it a thought before hyphenation?
