What's the use of the MRT horn? (Is it to warn ppl not to stand in front of the yellow line? If so, are there any other uses for it?)

I saw a CM mode notice at the HW...
It said
CROWDED PLATFORM AT NEXT STATION
Drive in CM mode
Enter station at less than 40kph
Be prepared to apply emergency brake

get a decibel meter if you really want to know.
its an air-horn if i'm not wrong & most of the time it is used to warn commuters who're standing way too near the yellow line at elevated stns but there are times when they are used to so-called "greet" the TO of the opposite platform..

Frm what I see from Wikipedia.. It states that:
C151A = 66 Units/396 Cars
C651 = 19 Units/114 Cars
C751B = 21 Units/126 Cars
