more trains on the line means trains must go slower so the trains wont bump each other..

Choa Chu Kang, Admiralty and Marsiling.
Commuter incidents had happened at 8 NSL stations and 10 EWL stations. I think most accidents happen on NSL though.
The '999' announcement in trains
Is it useful?
the travel time between the two stations approx. varies from 2 to 7 minis
within this gap anything will happen
If you report to the driver, he can asks questions
and he stop the train only in the next staion
now world struggling with suicide human bombs
How public transport operators save commuters with this
useless announcements?
Finally commuters get irritated with this annoncements
security guards check only the bags randomly
Without bags and smart look human bomb can
damage more to singapore
Only they removed the dust pins and post boxes from the stations
and the reason given to ppl was security but they
achieves reduction in their operation cost
Particularly SMRT top levels think those aspects
don't think about the profit and their bonus
why are the NELs so noisy?(announcements)
must they say in four different languages? there isnt any peace at all while i was waiting for a train to dhoby ghaut from little india after coming back frm land transport authoriy gallery..

HW means HeadWall
TW means TailWall
Why when the train svc jus start the lights in tunnels are turned on?
Originally posted by Interception_7:HW means HeadWall

which means?
hmmm
in the past: NSL is red and yellow; EWL is green and blue
current, red and green is selected
how i wish that red can swoop to yellow and green can swoop to blue

From Wikipedia:
1. Northbound trains terminating at this station utilise the middle platform to execute a turnaround first before travelling back to Marina Bay.
2. Although located between the Bukit Panjang and Ten Mile Junction LRT Stations, it is not physically connected to either and is thus not an interchange station. It is also not significantly close to the Petir LRT Station despite similar names used. The decision caused local MPs to request for a review, but was rejected by the LTA saying that it would be a "technical constraint" to force the line to curve sharply within a short distance to allow for a normal interchange station to be built. However, it added that a covered linkway would be built between Petir MRT Station and Bukit Panjang LRT Station, and hinted that there may be new developments on the reserve site between the two stations.
Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks. I know they are putting the middle platform at AMK to good use but is that the real reason why they actually build 3 tracks. did they anticipate it to be an interchange when they first built it.

The 3rd track in the middle is for trains to return to the depot also. Like Tanah Merah last time.
And no, there didn't anticipate it to be an interchange. It's also unlikely for it to transform into one like Tanah Merah.
