I am 100% positive that it was 131/132. Besides, i remember the window ad.
Maybe 131/132 transferred to cgl via tanah merah after morning peak and gone all the way to changi airport and back when i reached tanah merah 20 mins later.

My question is at which station on the NSL does taking NB or WB result in the same journey time(taking into account transfer time at Raffles for WB route) so that it doesnt matter which direction u take?
Bishan. It's around 42 minutes no matter which direction.
how long is the circle line station, as in how many doors does it have. we know CCL uses 3 cars, so does the length of the station fit exactly to the 3 cars or is it longer than that.

I was at the SCDF open house. The length of the platform fits exactly to the 3 cars. Each car has 8 doors on both sides if I'm not mistaken.

yes 4 doors per side, making 8 per car.

no such thing as rego.
only train run number is available.
located on the top right hand side on both ends of the trains.
Anyone noticed that the arrow stickers on the platform ground (to show commuters the doors of the train) of Tampines stn have been removed?

U see, EG.3125
Rmb the train set 123, 124, 125 and 126 got scrambled to become 123/126 and 124/125? So you see.
3 is the carriage code, it's order is liddat:3/1/2/2/1/3
So you drop the first number, and you left 125 right? (When you type into ur computer, make sure do check for updates.)Minus one and it becomes 124. So you match 124/125. This is the train set number.

MRT = Mad Rush for Train.
What are the MRT stations with reserve sidings or crossover ? (all lines)
There's a siding in Outram Park that can accomodate only a 6-car train at any one time...
Dependant on different time of day, OTP siding will be utilised to
'reverse' or 'turn around' trains in a scheduled time-table....During
lunch hour on weekdays, the Lunchtime Express service trains will use
it (and Aljunied station cross-over) to reverse trains on the East-West
line to achieve shorter shuttle train service frequencies or
'headway'...
http://www.smrt.com.sg/trains/documents/SMRT%20LunchXpress%20A2%20FA.PDF
It is also used in the evening, for a scheduled in-bound service to supplement the evening peak hour service.
Launching of trains from OTP siding is carried out when an empty
train is 'inserted' into the regular service. It increases the train
service availability.
