I have a question:
Why do I hear a 'mosquito sound' each time an announcement is being made inside the train? I took 117/118 today, and the high-pitch noise is like irritating.. Example:
'Ding Dong... Bukit Batok.. **Mosquito sound...** Bukit Batok... **Mosquito sound for a while, then it 'dissapears'..

Coded Manual Mode: When in this position, the train is controlled manually by the Master Controller Handle according to the demands of operation. In this operation, an emergency brake will be applied if the train exceeds the permissible ATP target speed limits or when the DSD on the Master Controller Handle is released.
If you notice at the HW of the platform, got two flashing lights. Yellow and red in color.
The Yellow Flashing Light when turned on, is to
remind Train Officers to read the message displayed on the board...Did
you notice the message board near to the CSP(Correct Stopping Point)?
As an example, during the day or night, maintenance do have to be
carried out and the men will need to proceed to the work-site (due to a
track equipment urgent check...and so on)...
These flashing lights will be turned on to attract the attention of Train Officers to read the message.
The Red Flashing Lights will be turned on in another
situation....One of which, to demarcate the work boundary during the
night when maintenence works are carried out....
Some notices that requires trains to be driven manually are..
1) Raining.Enter next station at less than 40kph.
2) Race Day. Enter next station at less than 40kph
3) Crane Working Ahead. Be prepared to apply emergency brake.
if im not wrong, 031/032, 065/066, 111/112 and 127/128 tends to produce a pop sound after ammouncements were said....
like "dong dong...pop.... city hall......city hall......please mind the platrom gap..., ding dong.... door closing..... buzzer...... " until when the doors shuts, the pop sound came out again
