ermm... just to ask...
wad is the red light blinking at the front of the train? i see many trains entering pasir ris with blinking lights,
And, when taking the train from simei to tanah merah, when the train passing ITE there, it would somehow apply the brakes and slow abit, then after a few seconds, increase speed again.. why arh..
today i took a sound-less train.. door closed... delay 20second... then move, the motor totally no sound sia.. usually dam noisy with the puuuuuuu sound..

Train entering in RM mode. RM mode means the train is driven manually below 15 km/h.Question 2:
Speed limit probably.About your "sound-less" train... It may be a C751B. I don't know about the 20 sec delay. You may be standing on the trailer car which produces the puu sound and covers the motor sounds.

089/090 is MIA as I have not seen it on both NSL and EWL for more than 1 month.
If I am not wrong, it is sleeping at BSD, sitting at that area where all parts from old unrefurbished C151 were removed during MLU. I notice there got some big boxes next to the carriage. Not sure what's inside the boxes. They should be seen clearly when passing by BSD.

In fact, more than 2 months. I wonder what is going on with that train. -
089/090 is last seen on National Day, after that it went MIA
it can get STARIS and new priority seat so fast, in the end decided to be de-registered

15 years to 40 years, depending on what kind of train it is.
15 years - Train which have a low cost that's built to have minimal lifespan that is going to be replaced rather than refurbrished.30 years - Normal train normally have the lifespan which is this long. Whether mid-life refurbrishment occurs have to depend on operators.
40 years - Maximum lifespan for train normally, unless operators has some reasons not to replace the train. Train which has reached this stage of lifespan generally have a higher cost of mantainance than newer train at it's current generation. Whether mid-life refurbrishment occurs have to depend on operators.
