Approaching station, tunnel starts to ascend upwards.
The station is like on top of a "hill"
Once leaving the station, it starts going downwards and curving all funny directions.
It isn't easy to tunnel the CCL Route whithout going up or down.Have you ever heard of the english words hill, slope, rough terrain and finding easier ways to dig?
for example,if you are digging for gold and hit rock in front of you, going around makes the work easier.

I think from CM to AM can.
Originally posted by Samuel Lee:BTW, is this applicable only to C151, or also as the likes (All the EWL/NSL rolling stocks) or all Singapore trains (C751A, C830 etc also) or generally every single train in the world?
C151 , C651 and C751B.

there is no such thing as changing from CM to AM when the train is moving. AM = train operating in ATO mode. how can ATO start when in between stations? have you even thought before answering the question?

Later the pre-programmed ATO is 1.6km
You travel 1.2 km, Ohh i feel so tired lets switch to AM
The ATO thought its still at Station A but you in the middle of Station A and B.
Train accelerates when approaching station B
WTH! I FORGOT
*Apply EMG brake immediately* Overrun 2 carriages
I K A N! Go to next station

Willis have answered before, unless EB then can. Well, he also say is across all trains, not just singapore trains. (I wonder where he found these details)

If want change from CM to AM, might as well starting AM all the way.
While moving, trains cannot change modes. They can only do so when stationary - ie. Stopping at stations.
I'm very curious to see Bombardier CX-100 running the Bukit Panjang LRT underground. Btw, in the middle of the Bukit Panjang LRT track got some kind of complicated thingy, what's that?

Third Rail and Guide rail
Guide rail i mean

Third rail + guide.
I encountered this strange thing on Thursday between Yishun & Sembawang Station. I was meeting my friend at Sembawang Station around 6.30++, usually the time where the NB train turns around at Yishun siding back towards SB. On the VARIS system, it showed:
(4) Jurong East
Arrived
------Next Train-----
Jurong East 6 min
After the train left for JUR, it showed:
(4) Jurong East
6 min
But 3 min into it, a train (057/058) approached the station completely empty and the VARIS system did not state anything. It still showed:
(4) Jurong East
3 min
There were no annoucements and the train was unable to depart. The signal at the front of the station was red. The VARIS system looked like this:
(4) Jurong East
1 min
And then, finally it moved off. The resulting train came in half a minute after the train left. I think the train conductor missed the siding and the train that was "DNB" at Yishun went straight for Sembawang instead, causing the system to go haywire or something like that...
Originally posted by NickLim™:Personally I find them the same on straight stretches of tracks.
I would suppose they are caused by the tighter curves, causing the flange of the wheel to rub harder on the rails.
If you want a bit of Physics, it could be the smaller tunnel radii causing the sound to echo back faster and thus sound louder.
There is no difference between 3rd rail and overhead catenary wires other than limitations of speed and voltage.
Wow thanks I shall take note... Btw guys is it just me or does CCLtrains travel much slower than the rest? I've seen a staff trainee manually operating one before... The speed was mostly 50kmh!!!! What's the relevance of the 'R' in MRT if trains go so slow? btw that was not at the promenade bend... it was a significant part of the train journey...

Lol. The overrun limit is about 1 - 2 doors. There is a set-back limit sign and a stop sign there. Lol the staff newbie. Actually very obvious if its near a station lol

TRAIN MUST NOT OVER RUN LAH! Staff how to over run?

Sorry forgot to elaborate... She did drive the train manually but after awhile it was put back on auto but the covering was left on for awhile... Even on auto the speed was still around 50kmh... yup thats what i meant =p Why so sloW!

It's called the RATIS, not the VARIS (or whatever it is I also don't know where you came out with the name), and most likely it's with the signal, or it might have missed the sidings as you've said.

Maybe it did not get detected since NSL/EWL use the traditional signalling. They only use block that means 1 train occupy 1 part of the track.
Like Bedok to Tanah Merah, once a train enters the track in between, it is detected as occupied. While for the newer version it detects the actual train position. (I saw the signalling when the station master went away to get coffee LOL)
Can someone explain what BVE to me? 我至今还是满头雾水。

Go to BVE forums please. Basically it is a train simulation GAME. That is why you can drive a train (I know Singapore routes are not high quality yet, as in scenery sides, but work is rapidly doing)
Whats the uses of TRN [Train Run Number]??? And how does it work?
What's Trainset 215/226 or 216/225?
