After leaving the interchange, start counting the first bus stop, second bus stop, press the bell. Alight at the third stop. Try to look out for the MRT tracks also. Coz I myself also not too sure..
as long as the buses mentioned stop beside the mrt then i won't miss it..
but if further then i may lose my way..

to guide you further, major things to look out for
1. after turning right going out of the interchange, the bus will turn left into Jurong West St 63 and move parallel to the MRT line. After that no more turns at junctions. First bus stop is at Block 662A. Second bus stop is Blk 685C. Third bus stop is 651A aka Pioneer Stn bus stop. Alight there.

WIll there be trains running within the two stations?
Just in case SMRT does not provide shuttle train between Pioneer and Joo Koon this saturday. One way is (from Pioneer station) to walk to Pioneer Rd North, take service 192 and alight at either International Rd or Benoi Rd and walk again to Joo Koon station. The other way is to go back to Boon Lay and take service 252.
one of the person at LTA contacted me on wed & he told me dat there will be a shuttle svc train..
anyway, thanks again for the valuable tip..

As for Joo Koon, 252 can reach (12 stops).
for 252, I am pretty sure 12 stops wont reach Joo Koon. maybe 18-20.
I took it once two or three months back on board a VO2x. quite a jerky and loopy ride. be prepared.
as for 179, it is 3 stops from the interchange to reach Pioneer. same for 255. the two routes part ways after that stop (I believe).
A shuttle service train from Jookoon to Pioneer vice versa? I'm like so excitedbut you guys might say i'm like freaking crazy travelling from Pasir ris Pioneer just fo the open house. Any guesses what might be happening tomorrow?
Why is it that you guys write your entries as though the extension is opening on 21 February 2009? I thought it is opening on 28 February 2009? Maybe I misinterpreted.
Sorry for false surprise.
Standard waiting time for trains for stations from Khatib to Marina Bay is 2 to 3 minutes (no change) but Sembawang to Jurong East is 3 to 5 minutes, occasionally 6 minutes (also no change). Northbound Trains at Yishun arrive between 2 to 3 minutes but trains terminating there arrive between 2 to 3 minutes also. So waiting time to head to Jurong East is 3 to 6 minutes. Southbound trains vary from 2 minutes to 6 minutes (some trains which do the turnaround head towards Bishan Depot directly as a Do Not Board train).
