  Now got SMRT train testing the rails tracks during 2 - 3am on some days.

  Sometime speeding(quite loud), sometimes slow(acceptable noise level)

  Eh, not just testing, its also to run in the rails, so that the rails smoothen out by the time the line opens. This also ensures that by the time the line opens, the noise level caused by the track would decrease (although people would complain more about the noise due to the higher frequency of the trains running on the tracks).

  There is already a seemingly temporary Joo Koon terminal being built near the station, and it doesn't seem to allow boarding and alighting, meaning that boarding at alighting may be done at the station itself.

  A refurbished C151 did a dry run between BNL-Joo Koon Station & vice versa at 1am++ today.

   

  The driver stops near at JW St 63/65 for a moment before moving WB.

  4-6 Trains doing interval runs between BNL & JKN on Sat/Sun during 12.30am-4.30am to get the average travel between these Stns?

  Spotted a timekeeper sitting near the driver exit at the Stn.

  All three station controls, platform lights, announcement were operating during the runs.

  Hold on anyway. If the 2 stations open, a longer time is needed to complete the full journey, so there may be lesser train frequencies, not speaking of the future Tuas Extension.

  yeah, i asked this qn before at this page. i think smrt will deploy more trains to run the extra distance. this is also one of the reasons why smrt is ordering new trains.

  The new trains maybe supply by a contractor from korea.  And a new depot ( mini depot ) maybe design and built in western part of little red dot. More likely to be very near to 2nd link. And a few more ( 5 ) stations will be added to the existing line. Even plans to end the terminal station in our dear 'up north'.

  BLE nv open to public yet there is a ringing announcement made..

  security officer is stationed at pioneer mrt near blk 651A before the overhead bridge entrance/exit..

  To prevent unauthorised entries when the authorised ppl are doing tests & doing final touchs on BLE Stations/tracks since 3Q of 2008.

  When they are doing the tests, main power(for announcement, lights, etc...) are swtiched on to simulate normal operating procedure of a MRT Station
