Will remember this. Probably won't take pictures, just take a look at it.Originally posted by ^tamago^:tomorrow have chance. and if u see 105, must walk over to 106......
yup. sadly it's not working for the moment.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Will remember this. Probably won't take pictures, just take a look at it.
wiki is most probably referring to 031/032 and 237/238...Originally posted by kawasaki2:I remember I once sat a c151 train on the EWL in the early 1990s with LCD screens which displayed information like this. But Wikipedia says it has been removed already.
The LCD screens in the 3G trains display ads only...
the last butt-rest was removed in may.Originally posted by SMRT 32373238:wiki is most probably referring to 031/032 and 237/238...
notably these are the last to trains of bothe gens...
i remember them being special as they had LCD screens but i nv saw them actually working...
237/238 was really unique as it had different flooring... smell was also different last time... they also used the all-standing butt-rest thingy in the green cars... but only 237/238 had butt rest in the orange (end) cars...
this year? so sad... its more comfy than those u try to sit on in bus interchangesOriginally posted by ^tamago^:the last butt-rest was removed in may.
yeah. i took it before they took it down....Originally posted by SMRT 32373238:this year? so sad... its more comfy than those u try to sit on in bus interchanges
Are they in operation ? Is it still under testing ?Originally posted by ^tamago^:thanks for the lead. didn't expect it to be the cadbury train. i caught it on evening peak just when it came out of Bishan. it was out on afternoon shift, and is still running on NSL as we speak.
only the 3 cars forming 106 has the panels, 105 does not have them...
Not in operation... probably just bai swee nia... or I just never notice it.Originally posted by CAIX:Are they in operation ? Is it still under testing ?
SMRT should introduce these interactive features on our trains. Really like the HK MTR ones as it also shows the direction of the train travelling to and the next stop, so no worries that we might lost our ways.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Not in operation... probably just bai swee nia... or I just never notice it.
nah... SMRT where got so boliao... besides they're wasting time & effort if they put up new signs, strip down the whole train, reinstall new body and reinstall sign...Originally posted by NickL_C151:Hmm... Maybe this will give us a clue of which trainset will be refurbished next.
And SMRT, just have trains that run from Boon Lay to Changi Airport lah. It's so simple and just have the Plasma screens at every station have the sign in 4 different languages. Each time I go to Changi Airport I had to tell tourists AND LOCALS to get down and transfer to another train. Only Singapore has such a pathetic 3 station metro line. If you are nto going to change t, just ad a different colour, then everyone will know that they have to transfer.
guess its because bishan depot has all the equipment and stuff... so 'improved' trains go on the NSL first for testing...Originally posted by Dead_Man_Inc:why all the "improved" trains on NSL?
Because NSL pass by SMRT territory mah. EWL where got?Originally posted by Dead_Man_Inc:why all the "improved" trains on NSL?
not feasible? cos more ppl go to pasir ris rather than changi... so having half the trains on EWL going to changi maybe not very good for majority of commuters...Originally posted by Donavan:Because NSL pass by SMRT territory mah. EWL where got?
And ah, SMRT did have a BNL - CGA direct train. Was scrapped in god knows when. Why actually?
yeah and it's kinda irritating for us east-siders too...Originally posted by SMRT 32373238:not feasible? cos more ppl go to pasir ris rather than changi... so having half the trains on EWL going to changi maybe not very good for majority of commuters...
I miss those days where i could take the Changi Airport train which would be much emptierOriginally posted by sinicker:yeah and it's kinda irritating for us east-siders too...
u want to go home quickly, u walk quickly to mrt station.... and the train to pasir ris comes in 8mins in peak-hr.
