Happy spotting!
i hope 101/102 is refurb first. haha
Originally posted by SBS9888Y:after peak hours there is no need for so many trains so many trains will start to terminate service and head back to the depot. for AMK, the Yew Tee crossover trains, 3 of them will come from ulu pandan depot, do the yew tee evening peak shuttle for 2-3 trips. the first train does 3 trips while the other 2 do 2 trips. den once they done those trips, they head towards amk and terminate at amk and go back to bishan depot. the reason why terminate at amk. smrt dunwan it to go all the way down to marina bay and up again. straight away withdraw and put in bishan depot as the demand isnt that high and that the trains wont need to travel much before termination.
yishun will be from marina bay only. there are no SB trains terminating at yishun currently. only NB. cos it is quite ridiculous to go all the way to Jurong East and off svc back to bishan depot. and since many ppl alight at yishun, smrt decided to put the termination svc to yishun. actually sembawang and woodlands have a big demand also. but it seems smrt doesnt want to extend it to woddlands as its too far to get back to bishan depot. makin an off svc trip from woodlands to bishan depot seems to costly for them
every night, there are trains terminating at kranji, amk and toa payoh too.
Not so-called costly lah, it's the revision in timetable that will matter.
Off service trains have 45 seconds off total travelling time due to no-stopping in stations. However due to bunching they may have to stop at a station to wait for the green light.

Judging from the pictures that kench-an posted lor... 101/102 still in the midst of tearing everything down.

Bit quite strange... 107/108 is supposed to come out first, following by 095/096 and last is 101/102 but 101/102 has entered into the passenger service just barely 3 weeks after it was in the midst of old interior being torn down as shown in the picture.

107/108 is this week. It is ready liao but Bishan don't want let it out for some reason. 107/108 completed refurbishment first but 101/102 was released first because they decided to keep 107/108 for a while (Maybe overhaul).
Hmmm.. Perhaps.. If 095/096 come out later, that's means 107/108 must be doing overhaul.
Boarded refurbished 091/092 on EWL today.
Spotted 119/120 refurbished at southbound Bishan at 2.21pm, except that it has no exterior stickers yet and the new metal emergency ramps are not painted over.
Did any newly refurbished train have old annoucements? 327/328 and 315/316 has gotten back old annoucements so it is possible that SMRT is putting back old annoucements.
Erm 111/112 and 089/090 have old announcements. Not sure if they are putting it back but I guess they haven't removed the old version so train drivers can 'choose' in that sense.
Refurbished 107/108 is now running for passenger service. Boarded it on NSL from City Hall at 10pm.
Here is the picture of 107/108.

SMRT just loves mind games. =(
029/030 on service today on the NSL.
I think 037/038 is currently undergoing refurbishment as I have not seen it on EWL for some times. Just my assumption only.
013/014, 017/018 and 033/034 are seen to be still running on EWL recently.
Yup 029/030 in service on NSL during evening peak with picture =)
:
Guessing that 109/110 and train numbers between 113/114 to 117/118 are getting refurbished soon.
