I saw it on test run last week... test run no. 888 =)Originally posted by ignoramus2006:Yeah I saw 021/022 during rush hour peak on EWL as well. Whats the current tally of confirmed refurbished trains? How many more to go grrrrrrrrrrrrr....................
Still wished they cared more for the disabled with in train LEDs and which side the doors will open.
I don't think we need for that... but as far as i know, these are the sides the doors open on NSL:Originally posted by SMRT 32373238:what u mean by which side the doors open? not obvious enough meh? got station on one side means open at that side lor... want them to have retarded announcements like 'dear passengers, the doors will now open on the left side'!
if its so retarded hk would not have them and taipei would not have those lights, and the side which the doors open wont change that much either in these cities.Originally posted by SMRT 32373238:what u mean by which side the doors open? not obvious enough meh? got station on one side means open at that side lor... want them to have retarded announcements like 'dear passengers, the doors will now open on the left side'!

Good to hear it's out now...
Let's pause for a moment, guys.
Do you still remember what SMRT said about the number of trains being refurbished per month after 005/006 was refurbished?
Think...
Yes. 3 Trains per month
Do a count now, only 1 train per month, is that even what other countries would like to see "world-class train standards"?
Don't believe 1 per month?
Nov 2006 - 005/006
Dec 2006 - 083/084
Jan 2007 - 001/002
Feb 2007 - 035/036
Mar 2007 - 021/022

Good meh? What if you are facing the back of the train?Originally posted by littlearea:It's good to have these annoucement, benfits for tourist.
i dont think 3.2m is very long for a width of a train... besides if you're standing in the middle of the train and u look upwards u can see which door is open... no? well i can la... and i'm quite short...Originally posted by ignoramus2006:Imagine being stuck in the middle of the train and wondering at the next station which side the doors will open, only to go the wrong side and have to frantically run to the other side when the doors open, during peak hour traffic.

It's 4 trains per month. I can remember clearly that SMRT did mention it last year. Maybe they have manpower shortage so the refurbishment process is much slower.
And I am very sure 007/008 will be the train for April when it is coming out for service.
Wow you got me on that ^_^Originally posted by littlearea:What about 003/004?
Originally posted by Oceane:Yup. Hope I'll spot 007/008 when it's ready for service this month. And I don't think it will be 039/040 cos last Friday I saw it still running on EWL.
My mistake then
Well, maybe it is right... but you just gave me an idea!
Guess the refurbished train of the month =)
April: 007/008
May: ???/??? (My guess could have been 039/040, saw it being parked into the refurbishment house just now)
Well I'm just listing trains that I've not seen for quite long (as in 1 month ++)...Originally posted by Novawin™:Yup. Hope I'll spot 007/008 when it's ready for service this month. And I don't think it will be 039/040 cos last Friday I saw it still running on EWL.
And what about 003/004? I remembered it was mentioned that it is being refurbished but somewhere it is still unconfirmed.
And the probability is very high that 075/076 whose train body is covered with shampoo products advertisement will be undergoing refurbishment.
My other guess for May is 027/028 as I have not seen 027/028 running for service for almost 2 months.
Hmm i saw 075/076 today... hahaha so no refurbishment for the train...Originally posted by Oceane:Well I'm just listing trains that I've not seen for quite long (as in 1 month ++)...

I saw 079/080 a couple days ago... not yet refurbished. Think you got the numbers wrongly?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Today sure no wrong. Train 080 is refurbished. I saw the train at 6.52am today.

And since when did 079/080 become a 2g train?
I saw it yesterday once... wonder how so many people got confused with 079/080.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I see train 079/080 everyday. There's no way I can get them wrong.
