So what the heck if they just put Doors open >>> and the ones in the C751B's are left to rot?

Reported on News at 6.30 Channel 8. This system can tell u this train is terminating at.(can be found at above train doors, a rectangular electronic SMRT route map board) Green bulb light represents what stations will this train go to, red blinking bulb light represents this train has arrived at a specific station. This system will be installed on all trains progressively till June 2010. Passenger Information System(PIS) which is displayed in blue colour words can be found only the refurbished trains as well. It will be installed on all refurbished trains progressively till June 2010 also.

why not STAIRS, for SMRT Active Information for Route System?
the train fitted with 'STARIS' was on trial run frm BSH depot towards MRB departed BSH stn @ 3pm today. Media was onboard.
Definitely 053/054...
I like how they play with words, "developed" their system, yes they may had developed the software, but the whole idea is taken from Hong Kong. Typical Singaporean company/government board, copy = "innovate, develop"

I prefer the term for the long time taken for the system to be initiated "to be customised according to the local culture".
Moving people, enhancing lives.
I still prefer the one they had on 1131 and 1132 when it was the old SMRT though. That one showed you the logo as the train travelling along the track and tell you the next stop or arriving at wherever. Idiot-proof cause you can see the "train" moving faster or slowing down and stop at the "station". Too bad they decided to stop using the TVs on the trains.
i officially annonce that 117/118 is the only train had 84 seats removed... today my train hunting was in success....i saw some standing arrangement being removed and got ppl sitting on the railings....it makes me ffel tired to hunt and now i found it i feel happy.....

Obviously they wouldn't want to say "We copied the technology from Hong Kong..." and save their faces more.

067/068 should be out by now cuz it has been 6 weeks nv see it already......if not 051/52 should be out by now.... btw anyone saw the 039/040 operating????
not on ewl at least...not sure about nsl
i finally boarded an unrefurbished train after around 6 wks of not being able to catch one...i caught 071/072 heading southbound today.
does anyone know, how long will you then be considered "overstay"?
set 341/342 is the only c751b using upd to serve ewl?

a few years back I found the information somewhere online...
I only remembered 20min for entry & exit at the same station, 40min for like 2-5 stations (i think) and the rest cannot remember liao...

Time limit are as follows:
Enter and exit from the same station: 20 mins
Exit 1 to 4 stations away: 40 mins
Exit 5 to 9 Stations away: 60 mins
Exit 10 to 15 stations away: 75 mins
Exit 16 to 24 stations away: 100 mins
Exit over 24 stations away: 120 mins
It's in the RTS Regulations or Act... Supposed to be viewable at every station but think they have been removed already, left with the time limit placard at the every station control.
69/70 is in for upgrading.

how about trains before it? like 39/40, 55/60 and 59/60?
i think if we never saw the following trains for long...they should be on upgrading by now......i feel that 067/068 ,051/052 and 109/110 have completed the refurbishment now.......but quite hard to spot nowadays.........now only left with 071-076... left with 3 trains that unrefurbed
