What is meant by money train?
now no longer in use..
as the name suggest, its used to transport all the cash collected from the GTMs from the various stations back to the depot..
Originally posted by QX179R:since all the C151s have completed their refurbishments, its very likely that the refurbishments for the C651s starts..
Agree...
but if so, that will be de first @G refurbished... and 'll have to start a new thread le ^^
if possible, dun create 1st till we get more confirmations..
the thread might expire if there's no postings for quite sometime..
it's not totally impossible that the C651s are getting refurbished, since the koreans are still here...

oh, what i meant was, the ppl who did the refurbishment for the C151s were known as "the koreans", so they could be doing refurbishment for C651s.

Here's a trivia question:
Which trainset of refurbished C151 whose car number label is mis-aligned?
(Not including those train with exterior ads cover)
Label Number on Unrefurbished C151: 2122
Label Number on Refurbished C151: ????
I will drop a hint here if any one of you cannot give me the correct answer within 3 days. Then if I don't get the correct answer after 5 days, I will write the answer here.
Good Luck!
I guess it is carraige 3112.

Took 203/204 recently on the NSL.
i did some research and will like to put some remarks
take note of the following trainset..
51/52 and 121/122:
(reason: both of them cuz the 1993 first MRT train crash accident that left hundreds injured) still not in a good condition after refurbishment...
227/228
(first c651 derailment in 1999)

why do you make such a comment? and how do you know the condition of the trains are not good?
i was browsing thru some sites just now and found the news.....and i feel shocked.. i dunno what is it during the year 1993 as i was still a baby...
