no. all are still on old ATO mode but 021/022 ran on new ATO mode for that particular trip.Originally posted by Novawin™:Does this mean all refurhished train featured new ATO mode while all old C151 train use old ATO mode? Old ATO mode better than new ATO mode?
Yesterday I took 075/076 train on SB. Sometimes the train speed was slower on certain time while moving inside the underground. I noticed that on certain time, the speed on SB was quite slow but the speed on NB is normal.
okie, the new ATO mode was only used for one instance, and it switched back to old ATO when it turned back at MRB. it may be something that can be set by the PTO, or it is only limited to SB. i'm not sure yet, need to board again on a SB trip.Originally posted by Novawin™:Oh I see. So that's mean 021/022 only has new ATO mode? All other refurbished train still using old ATO mode?
I'm a student.Originally posted by Novawin™:Oceane, you seemed to be well informed and even track all car numbers of which are in service or are currently undergoing refurbishment. It seemed to me that you are working either MRT driver driving the train or MRT personnel looking at the train passing the station all the time, aren't you?

105/106 was running on service yesterday featuring fashion advertisement. Not sure about the name as I could not see the whole picture when I was boarding this train in underground. I think it is Calvin advertisement.[/b]
I was a student but now I graduated from poly already this year.

I guess that we could expect 019/020 to come out for service at end of this July. If not, then it must be on next month.
I noticed that SMRT is refurbishing the C151 train in sequence order in according to its car number based on the list as above. I think 009/010 and 013/014 will be the next train to be refurbished.
got! or was it there all the while before refurb but we dunno?Originally posted by Manager433:*ATO: got old and new ATO meh?
Don't really understand some things... LOL.Originally posted by Manager433:KHI trains pick for MLU not based on year of production but mainly fleets from Changi Depot. Only 1 train from Ulu Pandan which is 83/84 upgraded.
*ATO: got old and new ATO meh?
Can't be different motor sound because they are still using the same dc motor, same gcu, same convertor. Nothing new was added to the under chassic except the both dt car.Originally posted by ^tamago^:got! or was it there all the while before refurb but we dunno?
if only can record the motor sound for u.
MLU: Mid Life Upgrade.Originally posted by Oceane:Don't really understand some things... LOL.
Firstly, refurbishment takes place at Bishan Depot (A.K.A SMRT HeadQuarters)
Secondly, trains are interchangable.
Thirdly, what is MLU? o_O
er. the sound of a slower motor on the last-phase.Originally posted by Manager433:Can't be different motor sound because they are still using the same dc motor, same gcu, same convertor. Nothing new was added to the under chassic except the both dt car.
Every thing under the 4 Motor Car under chassic still the same. Nothing new was added. Maybe could be due to the new install saloon panels that are providing better sound proof thats why the motor sound different.Originally posted by ^tamago^:er. the sound of a slower motor on the last-phase.
but it was clear that the throttle was turned on for a longer period to reach the target speed wor.Originally posted by Manager433:Every thing under the 4 Motor Car under chassic still the same. Their focus now would be to refurbish the kawasaki trains and i dont think SMRT Buses will have major refurbishment or major maintenance until they are satisfied with the refurb trainsOriginally posted by SBS3625D:I'm quite impressed by the refurbishing of the Kawasaki trains. Now if only SMRT pours the same amount of money into mantaining their buses.
