At 5-6pm, at woodlands station, I saw a 6mins train intervals. I am quite pissed off with this kind of train frequency at 5-6pm.
So When is the peak hour of North South Line?? -
Me too... Pretty pissed off. I like SMRT to improve it's timing from 6 mins to 4 mins. The trains are very packed because target passenger target often majority lives in Woodlands!
Why can't they just put thier peak-hour trains to turn around at Woodlands.
The NS line peak-hour starts from 4:30-7:30pm. After 7:00 pm, the train frequency will be at 3 minutes.

Hey guys, ya ever thought of how the lines in Singapore can run like a loop service, for example, trains can depart from Ulu Pandan Depot and then go to Jurong East, travel north to Woodlands, down the line to City Hall and then change over to the East West line, and then reach Jurong East at last.
And vice versa, if there are many passengers heading south during the morning peak hours, the trains can run direct from Bishan depot towards the city, and trains added towards Marina Bay direction from Ulu Pandan depot, meaning that Ulu Pandan side would have to commit more than 60% of their trains on the NSL...
This leaves with Changi depot to pump in most of their trains, if not all, on the East West line.
I think the proposed outcome will lift the deployments from Bishan depot on the JUR-MRB direction by a little, at least trains can run directly out of the depot and not to head to JUR before turning back, and wasting some of the time... -

Nice info, but I only know of some, because on tuesdays and thursdays I take the evening train home to yishun from bishan.
