New SMRT In-Train Announcements & Chime? + Active Route Map

  Now every notice also use new announcement in MRT

  even "Please stand behind the yellow line"

  057/058 also has the new train announcement...

  So in total, 26 trains

  Do you listen to Eating or Drinking" inside the train

  Old Chime says:

  "Eating or Drinking is not allowed in the stations & trains.Thank You for keeping the station & trains clean for the comfort for whole passengers."

  New Chime says:

  "Eating or Drinking is not allowed in stations & trains..........................Eating or Drinking is not allowed in stations & trains" It repeat twice.

  I think they are trying to point people to platforms instead. like the Jurong East one from the southbound train from Marina Bay is also shortened to "platform A on the left" and "platform B on the right".

  Eh, why the list states that C751B 327/328 is having the new announcement system but SBS9888Y states that "all of the C751Bs
   except 327/328 still uses old announcements"?

  I miss the Juanita's voice too. I have emailed twice to SMRT about the new announcement but still to no avail. The new announcement siren sound is really irritating to my ear. I prefer the Ding Dong sound.
