Based on station-to-station distances in the tender document.
However, DT28 to DT29 will only be 1.1km in my map instead of the 2km depicted on the tender diagram.
Any comments?
Wow, nice maps. Is it going to be another fully underground line again?
Looks like the whole row of shophouses along Prinsep Street got to go soon. Hopefully Liang Court will not be affected by the construction of the Clemenceau Station.

Yes DT line is fully underground. All new lines will be underground.
Btw tamago is the tender document found on LTA website? Good illustrations but I hope they have a clearer route at Tampines. Quite messy though. :D
Originally posted by tranquilice:tamago, I noticed that the station numbers on the existing lines are wrong! An example is NEL Dhoby Ghaut, station number should be NE6 not NE5. In the third map, that EWL station should be EW5 Bedok not EW4 Tanah Merah, and so on…

judging from the map, it isnt where the shop houses are,
anyway, it isnt accurate but there is a empty land there big enough for them to use.

maybe.... but the lone building at the junction should be going if this is true.

i think the station box is outside SOTA based on the distance provided. the empty plot opposite peace centre is for buffer during construction, like diversion of road or put materials. when the station box is done, that land can sell for building and/or build an exit there.

looking at it again, perhaps it is.

u posted the same thing on skyscrapercity forums...
just asking, are the station names you put in the maps official working names from LTA or just guesses? because the schematic map doesnt include the station names...
Hmm... I was expecting a "Jalan Besar" Station between DT21 and DT21a, and a "Genting" Station between DT22 and DT23.
I really hope there will be some elevated parts, perhaps from Ubi to Waterfront. I think it won't cause much problem by building those elevated stations like those on the Sengkang LRT, since there will be only 3 cars for for each train.
Oh... and DT29 should be built closer to the eastern boundary of Temasek Poly.

If DT28 is at Waterfront View, than 2km to DT29 will be somewhere near the Junction of St 82 and Ave 4 which is too near to Tampines MRT (DT30) !

Ya loh, take bus must walk out so far.
Simi si stack platform? Anyway, the areas served by DTL 3 already have well-established and well-linked bus networks. I forsee a big rationalisation exercise with this one.

Trying stacking up one box over another and you'll know.

City Hall and Raffles Place are examples of stacked stations that are interchanges. Some future non-interchange MRT stations, being built in tight spaces, will also have stacked platforms; the tracks will be on top of each other, and each track will be served by a single side platform on it's own level on the same side. Basically, it's half of City Hall/Raffles Place.
Hope I made it clear.
$1.13b DTL contracts awarded
7 Nov 08
THE Land Transport Authority has awarded six contracts worth $1.13 billion for the Downtown Line.
The contracts, which will cover all three stages of the project, will include the procurement of trains and other electrical and mechanical systems.
Among the contracts is one awarded to the consortium of Bombardier Transportation GmbH / Bombardier (Singapore) for the procurement of 73 three-car electric trains at a cost of $570.7 million.
These trains will be fully automated and driverless. Such trains are being used for the North-East Line and will also be used for the upcoming Circle Line.
Another $287.5 million contract was awarded to Westinghouse Brake and Signal Holdings to provide the signalling system and platform screen doors at the stations, said LTA in a statement on Friday.
Other contracts awarded include that for the control and communications systems and also the building of lifts and escalators.
