Tanah Merah to Bedok is 2 minutes. Tanah Merah to Simei is 3 minutes. For the latter, I admit my mistake. But the discussion here is not about train timings.

When they say by 2012, it means by 31 December 2012.
info guys - the 'hollow' things are covers - they have to do touch voltage membrane works in tandem with the PSD installations & since engineering hours are so short, they have to use temporary covers until the PSD's go in.

The PSDs take time to install and plan, please be patient. I think they are installing the wirings for the PSD. The PSR, YIS and JUR also took quite some time.
PLATFORM screen doors to keep passengers from falling onto the train tracks - intentionally or otherwise - are being rolled out at more MRT stations.
Work is under way to get the doors up at the Clementi, Lakeside and Bukit Batok stations on the western end of the East-West line.
It will take between four and six months to install them, and they are expected to be ready in the second half of this year.
The LTA said it had decided to start with stations in the west, and then move to the east, before going up to those in the northern line.
some markings are spotted along platforms @ Admiralty station, but not at every door. only some random doors.
Today: HHPSD #1 at JUR Platform B was faulty, and someone pulled one of the door of the Platform D HHPSD #1.

Did the someone jumped to the tracks and commit suicide? Or the someone is a staff?
BTW was there any announcement on the train when the PSD is faulty?

They so rich, better dont raise the fares, becoz, the one affected the most is the poly students, who dont buy concession pass when there is a direct or indirect bus connection which is "quick & fast". (Eg: Using 55 from Marine Parade > 966 from Eunos >> 985 from Catholic JC then alight @ opp. Bukit Timah Plaza for Ngee Ann Poly students, who stay in Marine Parade.) (Who is this person hinting)
