Everyday during the morning and evening peak hours the mrt trains will always be very pack and people have to queue to wait to board the train.
I observe that the frequency of the train that comes during the peak period is 1 train per 3 to 5 minutes. The fastest is also 1 train every 2 minutes only.
I am thinking why can't they increase it to every 1 minute come 1 train. Like that it won't be so crowded inside the mrt.

Sometimes the trains stop down at a station longer than the average timing due to some people blocking at the door ( and causing the sensor to react to them ), and if the timing between MRTs is too short, you will end up seeing MRTs "queueing up" before the station.
u want a repeat of clementi 1993?

what is that
I feel there's limitations to what SMRT can do to benefit the commuters.
Hence, rather than contemplating on a solution here, why not try leaving the house 10 mins earlier or stg... ?

The first major MRT accident in Singapore. That is, before people figured out that you could jump off the tracks to kill yourself.
Move and live in area near Pioneer Mall MRT or Pasir Ris MRT, gurantee u definitely can squeeze in plus seat.

yeap.. i always do dat last time
I think they already did their best for the peak hours le. Peak hours train timings alr consider quite fast in my opinion. It's just that more & more people came to live in this tiny island & most of the working/schling timings are about the same, thus the stupid jam.
Nothing we can do i guess... =(
LoL.
Let's wait till the Jurong East Modification Project is done, in which, they will add 22 new trains to it. Then we shall see, if the project will affect the train timings(becomes faster).
If you notice, train timings if more than 6/7 mins, they bombard you with advertisement, or they don't shot the next timing. Hahaha.

Hopefully the train average waiting time would be 4-5 mins.
The distance between one station to another, differs. So you can't expect a punctuality of 1 min.
Take the example of Yew Tee to Kranji.
