Hahaha,
One the many uncountable reasons why I rarely film SMRT trains. Too much restriction. Count yourself lucky for not being detained.
During Mas Selamat's escape, a friend of mine who was recording an express train off Woodlands Rd, got caught by police officers, who thought he intend to pass the clip to terrorist. He got detained for 3hrs before the parents came to clear the mess.
What an experience.

And this person claimed that I was doing a school project and directed him/her to help me take videos, therefore "ask the person who did similar act and not direct / instruct" is false. Furthermore, the person also claimed that I asked him to upload those videos at a specific time. Weird isn't it?
this is quite fishy..... I think from the context, it looked like use a lie to cover a lie by the train fan, if that were to be the case. Maybe, I suggest, is to create a new thread on how to handle these damn CSOs if such incident happen. Lol! (Coz the person surely nervous, like u kena questioned also got uneasy feeling, and then also nervous and lost, which some probably ended up sprouting nonsense to get the day)
<ADV>: This is why I always wanted to take DNBs, regardless if such acts is legal, will result into such threads deleted / locked, because I want to show that I am smart, and better than u those CSOs (Coward Sucker Officers)

Even if you get caught, just say that it's your hobby, problem solved. But to drag someone else in, thats utterly rude, isn't it?
Whoever it is, I hope you feel guilty about this. Being accused of something that you didn't do, the feeling is seriously bad. At least apologise, won't you?

+1, this is why I say, in any case, this person is wrong in the first place. It seemed like this wrong is a bigger wrong because there is no precondition on similar act excuse but totally seemed like dragging others in.

Yes... Now that the problem is solved, I don't wish to talk about it once more. The purpose of me posting this is to deliver my feelings to this person when he/she reads it. Also I don't want history to repeat itself. Just say it's your hobby, which is 100% true as you're a train enthusiast, not drag someone in and say whoever told you to do this and that...
OOH. I wonder whos the one that did it. I think lets set a rule from now on lah. Like, what the mature bus fans do, they set the rule of not taking photos in the bus interchange. But it is somewhat impossible for us to not film in the station. So 1st rule I think I want to enforce is when anybody ask us why we are filming the train, introduce ourselves as train fans or smth like that. Anybody who wanna change this rule or add in rules can do so :) . Hopefully this prevents some brain-less people or people who are too afraid to you know...

I think this idea is great, but to add on we should have a new thread "Is it safe to flim for that day" since like yesterday I saw many "guard" at Raffles Place, City Hall, Paya Lebar (10) and Bedok. So in the end, i did not flim at all. So simple to say, if anybody spotted so many for that day, u should not flim at all and inform everybody thru here or by so others means. What u think?
Have a relay system. If anyone's going for a camp and they think it is not safe, SMS people stating it's unsafe to film for fear you may get caught.
If you are being apprehended by the police, don't rebut them. Instead just introduce yourself politely. If they ask you for your IC or EZ-link card, just give it to them. I've been in this situation before. You may want to say, You are a train enthusiast and we are currently developing SMRT routes for a game. If they do not believe you, you may want to tell them about the SGTrains website, in SGForums..
But hey, you guys all very well know that you have to ask the CSO at the PSC before doing media recording right? You kept telling that to others but you yourself did not go and get permission. Ironic enough huh?

Sometimes they just are elite uncaring, asking them also no use.

If they say no, just move away. Why get yourself into extra trouble?
Do you know, they have to answer to the management about you guys? Filming without any written permission..
You guys are just making their job tough. Even I myself film KTM trains also ask the management for permission before filming. No permission = Move away.

If like,
Set the rule, no filming in MRT stations. Why? Same case as Bus Interchange..
Next time, we will not take responsibity nor to offend others who get caught by police

This is not called extra trouble. Anyone with some common sense will know to ask permission from station manager / CSO and not the janitor etc. Why, because you all for sure know that janitor does not have the rights to permit or deny.
But are you so sure that the station manager got permission / authority to permit or deny. Sometimes, in pshychologically speaking, when you ask this kind of question, and lucky that they are more passion in trains / people with more sympathy, they may not want to shatter "kiddo's dream" that they allow (When you say allow = take film / video etc) because for sure that they know that we are not one with ill intentions. But can they give permission in the first place? It is not written. By asking them to me is just placebo effect (To make you feel better, when the actual facts is not getting any better). By doing so (Asking station manager / CSO for permission), either they being harsh (Elite and uncaring as defined by me) OR they allow (And they still have to answer to their management, remember, station manager are not ones who write the Rapid Transit Act nor the directors / management of the SMRT / SBST etc railway company), in both ways they are in the losing end. This is something that you and some of the guys dont know and ended up in a flame war. I try to keep tone down, but dont teach and /or tell me what to do. I know the limits.
Today:
021/022 train in LTE, dont know why the STARIS shows 3 lights in TNM, XPO and CGA until it went to Aljunied. After that, it tends to hang at Kallang and Raffles Place. (It is weird because until City Hall then it showed the correct one and after Raffles Place, it hangs there, with moments of showing TGP etc)
The door side is not working.

+1.
After all, unlike buses, that stop conviently at bus stops where you can snap away all you want, the only(most likely) place to do what we desire is the station. At this rate...... All I can say is that i feel more of a pest than a human to society.
Date: 31/03/10
Time: 5.50pm.
Place: Jurong East MRT stn
NSL RATIS shows 1 min for next Marina Bay train.
A C151 (075/076) stops at the track before entering Jurong East (NB). After 2 mins, the train is still stuck there. Signal turns from red to white though there's no train at the middle platform. RATIS display changes, displays "Yew Tee", and 213/214 pulls into JUR from UPD. The C151 is still stuck there.
The following was displayed:
After 213/214 departed, RATIS shows "Yew Tee 1 min". 075/076 starts moving towards JUR. As it enters, RATIS now shows "Marina Bay"... "Next train Yew Tee 1 min". I'm not sure if 075/076 was too early... or 213/214 was too late, but i think it's due to 213/214 being late for arrival into JUR for YWT shuttle..

Oopsies, its 213/214. Sorry for the confusion. The error has been rectified.
Today, at KTB, 231-232 was departing NB and there was a train arriving SB. It was 233-234. What a nice combination!
