That I took a bus down to AMK to see the situation, I saw an overcrowding situation for ppl trying to leave AMK, causing the faregates to be packed like crazy..
Then I transfer alot of buses to BSH to see the situation.. Along the way, there are more ppl trying to wait for a cab but the queue was overcrowded as well.. Some ppl even jaywalked to Interchange and pedestrian crossing to int was not allowed then..
Then I reached bsh, i saw 349/350 waiting behind bsh SB.. Then it departed very slow, I tap in to bsh and decided to cancel off my ride when i was inside the stn as train stopped too long.. After leaving BSH for some time, I saw this sight and situation
075/076 WAS PULLING 033/034 AFTER LEAVING BSH NB AND EVEN GOING TOWARDS THE NORTH EVEN MORE.
Thus, it looks like a 12 car train to me
Didnt took any videos of that?

Bishan go further North in NB tracks? There is a middle track for the train to crossover from NB -> SB and further up (North) from SB tracks will lead to another crossover that is for trains to come out from BSD.
So what happened is this (Based on what is written here as I did not went to the scene):
Step 1: 075/076 was pulling 033/034 away from BSH. (Did anyone notice 075/076 is a DNB train from BSD or a service train that turns to DNB in AMK?)
Step 2: Since the middle track in Bishan is probably too short for 12 train car formation, they will have to do is send the train outside BSD and heads for AMK middle track. At least they can park the train in the middle of the station, away from the SB -> BSD crossover near the BSD junction, due to the time could have some AMK bound train terminate there and return to depot.
Step 3: Another train will pull it towards the depot, or even the train was pulled beyond AMK middle track towards YCK.
I dun think the middle track above BSD can handle a 12 car train, it will cause the train to derail as the track is too short..
For 075/076, I not sure whether was it on service earlier on before the break down. And 201/202 was just behind it then

Maybe someone should try to take an exclusive video of train using BSH middle track, probably can take after Toa Payoh bound train (Toa Payoh bound train crossover upon reaching TAP and become DNB, followed by TO use NB tracks towards Bishan, crossover to BSD). I want to know if this is the reason for the middle track in BSH.
today rides was a mess..........over crowded......from every direction.....
Luckily 099/100 is not involved in this incident as it was sleeping in depot after morning peak.. ![]()
I only went between BSH and AMK to and fro, didnt take the train nor head to the tunnel

Do you know what is a derailment?
A derailment won't occur if the length of the train exceeds the length of the siding. It occurs due to broken rails, excessive speeds or collision with obstructions on tracks etc.

I agree, what he said is probably means obstructing the crossover and half of the train (One whole faulty train) remains at Bishan, while the pulling train at slidings, obstructing stations + attention seeking method.
033/034 returns to NSL tdy and seeing things normally, nothing has happened. Doing short trips this time round

Edit: According to 1977 Chicago Incident, it is possible that IF 075/076 comes to the slidings and couple with 033/034, parts of the train (12 car) will be on a curve / turn, which might have chance to jackkniffed the train and cause the derailment. Thanks to Dragonaxe for PM-ing this details.
I know that Amercian incident was not coupling trains but somehow the speed of it is too low and joins with 2 trains, hence the similarity.
Today i was in 047/048. Then, suddenly I heard this tune:"Give up, give up, give up your seats to those in need, love your ride!" There was also another one sounded like this if I'm not wrong:"inside, inside, please move inside, love your ride!"
